Fragrance information:

The world first encountered Clemency by Humiecki & Graef in 2009. By character, a feminine fragrance drawing from the east and floral families. Perfumers Christoph Hornetz and Christophe Laudamiel joined forces to create something truly special. By character, it falls into the leather and gourmet groups. In eau de toilette — and that's all it takes to fall in love.

The sillage is delicate — an intimate cloud that stays close to the skin. A delicate fragrance with very low longevity — but what a first impression it makes. The home of this fragrance is Switzerland. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Clemency is built as an expressive line of development, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The style of Humiecki & Graef is evident in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette supports the depth and body this composition needs.

The accord profile is built around these accords: Gourmet, Floral, Wood and Leather with each one in a clear role. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. For persistence Very low indicates a stable lasting impression.

When the pyramid is blended into one block the opening appears as one connected movement with a inspiring floral mood: Black currant leaf, Leather accord, Linden blossom, Milk, Rose, Sandalwood and Woody Accord.

The heart and base are felt as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Gourmet, Leather, Green and Floral. It also reaches into Wood and Whiteflower.

Overall Clemency sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the base secures the trail. These are the fragrances best judged in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

1
Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

2
Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.
