Introducing Bollywood or Bust by Smell Bent

Bollywood or Bust is a unisex fragrance launched in 2010 by the American brand Smell Bent. It belongs to the floral fragrance family and is available in an eau de parfum concentration.

The composition was created by perfumer Brent Leonesio.

About Smell Bent

Smell Bent is a niche perfume house that is not afraid to be playful and provocative.

Founded in 2000, the brand has delighted fragrance lovers since 2009 with vivid, memorable scents that break stereotypes.

Bollywood or Bust is one such bold release, inspired by the atmosphere of Indian cinema.

The Perfumer and His Vision

The fragrance was created by Brent Leonesio, founder of Smell Bent and author of most of the brand's compositions. His style combines unusual pairings with high quality.

In Bollywood or Bust, he expressed his love for vivid, rich accords, creating a fragrance that feels like a celebration.

Character and Sillage

This unisex fragrance has a very strong sillage, leaving a powerful and memorable trail behind it.

Thanks to its intensity, it is ideal for evenings out and special occasions.

The composition is built around two key notes: rose and sandalwood, creating a harmonious, warm, and sensual accord.

This is a floral fragrance with a woody nuance that unfolds with depth and longevity.

How to Wear It and Who It Suits

Bollywood or Bust is a choice for bold, creative individuals who are not afraid to stand out. It is gender-neutral, making it suitable for both men and women.

Thanks to its rich trail, one or two sprays are enough for the fragrance to last throughout the day.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. The bottle really catches the eye, but the scent... it's completely unimpressive. The aroma feels too familiar, even commonplace. You can find something like this in inexpensive oriental perfumes or oil versions. A disappointment, honestly
