Ineke is a perfume house founded in 2006 in San Francisco by the talented perfumer Ineke Rühland.
Her philosophy is to create fragrances that tell stories inspired by art and travel. In 2010, one of the brand’s most striking hits was born: Gilded Lily.
A Fragrance Made to Shine
The name Gilded Lily is a metaphor for luxury and tenderness. The perfume was released in eau de parfum concentration and is positioned as a women’s fragrance.
Its sillage is rated as very strong—this scent will not go unnoticed. It belongs to the chypre and fruity fragrance families, combining green freshness with warm sensuality.
Composition and Development
The top notes offer a sparkling green accord: juicy pineapple, tart rhubarb, spicy elemi, and slightly bitter grapefruit.
At the heart, a luxurious lily blooms—dewy, powdery, and almost tangible. The base is warm and deep: earthy patchouli, coniferous oakmoss, and softly sweet labdanum.
This combination creates a “gilded” effect, as freshness evolves into a velvety trail.

Ineke Rühland personally created Gilded Lily. Her style is instantly recognizable: she knows how to combine unusual notes, such as rhubarb and elemi, with a classic floral heart to create a modern chypre.
