Identity and Release History of Goutal Paris Songes

In the world of niche perfumery Goutal Paris stands apart, offering fragrances that are like poetry.

In 2005, this legendary house introduced Songes, a fragrance that transports to a world of dreams and travels, becoming the embodiment of dreamy elegance.

Songes became part of the collection L'invitation au Voyage, the name of which translates as "Invitation to Travel".

This collection embodies the spirit of exploration and exoticism, making Songes the perfect companion for those who seek escape from everyday life into fragrant fantasies.

Positioning and Wearability of Songes

The Songes fragrance is created for women who value refinement and sensuality.

In the form of eau de toilette, it offers a soft and lasting sound, with a faintly perceptible trail, making it ideal for close encounters and romantic evenings, where every moment is filled with intimacy.

Belonging to the families Oriental and Floral, Songes combines the warmth of Eastern spices and the tenderness of floral chords.

It is perfectly suited for the autumn-winter season, when one wants to warm up with the scent of the tropics, or for special occasions that require elegant sensuality.

Creators and Influence of Songes

The creator of this captivating fragrance is perfumer Isabelle Doyen, known for her ability to create complex and emotional compositions.

Her work on Songes reflects the philosophy of Goutal Paris, where each note tells a story, strengthening the brand's reputation as a master of exquisite and poetic fragrances.

Songes strengthened the brand's position as a leader in niche perfumery, demonstrating how fragrances can be not just scents, but entire worlds open for exploration.

This release continues to inspire fans to discover new facets of sensuality and beauty.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

This fragrance truly possesses a distinctly French character. Tiare, frangipani, and jasmine create a powerful yet harmonious bouquet. It's both vibrant and sophisticated. The longevity is simply impressive - it stays with me all day. Gradually fading, the scent reveals oriental notes and spices, offering incredible warmth and comfort

I tested this perfume in the store, and I really liked it. An oriental fragrance, sweet and alluring, it immediately caught my attention. But when I came home and applied it to my hand, instead of the expected delight, I smelled leather shoes, and the sweet notes had disappeared somewhere. At first, this upset me. However, I then decided to give it a second chance: I sprayed a handkerchief and put it in my bag. I went on vacation, and after some time, when I took something out of my bag, I suddenly caught this amazing scent. It was like an awakening. Now I miss it and look forward to when I can meet this beloved perfume again

Frangipani, tiare, ylang, vanilla - simple but sexy. Tropical, without coconut lotion. Indolic, but no headache. Rich, beautiful. Sad that such moments pass

The fragrance is quite rich, floral notes intertwine with sharp spices and a slight bitterness. For me, it reminds me of something from the past. I can't say it's entirely bad, but I expected more. The longevity, by the way, is decent

The fragrance is truly classic, but with character. It features notes of patchouli and ylang-ylang, as well as a light trail of jasmine and vanilla. Sweetness is present, but it doesn't overwhelm; rather, it embraces. Oriental accents give it a special appeal

A classic, undoubtedly worth attention. This fragrance evokes a feeling of something oily and slightly intoxicating, like a good glass of wine. The floral notes here are very rich, and woody accents add interest. But be careful, it can be too heavy. Wearing such retro fragrances is truly an art! )

The scent is really beautiful, but it doesn't smell like the tropics at all. Not even close! It's more like frankincense with ylang-ylang. Very rich, heavy notes that create an atmosphere... of a church! Yes, exactly. It brings to mind burning candles, a priest with a censer, a choir singing, and a feeling of divine grace. Sunbeams break through the windows and illuminate the saints on the icons. Quite impressive! But it's a bit heavy. I couldn't wear it, such intensity makes me feel nauseous. But on my mom, it smells great. She wears it to church, and in my opinion, that's the perfect use. But there's no talk of tropics or relaxation here. Be careful with the name and description )

After an hour of wearing Songes, I got the feeling it's somewhat similar to Makkah Al Haramain. Although their notes are different, both fragrances create an atmosphere reminiscent of incense sticks. They smell smoky and beautiful, perfect for summertime, as they evoke associations with India and Southeast Asia, but only if applied moderately

The scent of tropical flowers is simply gorgeous! I thought it had something like a pleasant resin in it. So cool!

I can't say I'm a fan of Annick Goutal fragrances, but Songes is truly one of those scents that just hooks you. Exotic floral notes sound absolutely amazing against a vanilla background. The fragrance is very sensual and delicate. It reveals itself especially well during the transitional seasons! DELIGHT!
