Description of the composition

The scent of Summer By Kenzo is shaped as a living composition, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The signature of Kenzo is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum sets the right density and pace of development.

The accord profile is driven by these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Floral without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Musc, Wood and Amber add depth to the backdrop. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read. For persistence Middle suggests confident staying power.

At the opening of the pyramid you detect invigorating sunny top notes: Bergamot, Citrus accord and Lemon.

In the central layer you detect Almond, Freesia, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, Mimosa and Violet holding a velvety rose-iris direction.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Citrus, Gourmet, Floral and Whiteflower. The framework further includes Ambery, Balsamic, Wood and Musk.

In summary Summer By Kenzo reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best judged in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I have them, but they didn't become favorites. They're just sitting there, unused

It's kind of strange that I broke up with it. It's so bright, floral, like a sunny day. Warmth and positivity just radiate from it. The smell reminds me of sun-warmed skin. There's a bit of bitterness, but overall the feeling is pleasant. I don't like mimosa, but there's something here. 🌼

This fragrance gives me mixed feelings. Spring and summer without it seem simply impossible, but then there's its mimosa scent. it's as if it overshadows everything around. Nature is in full bloom, but there are so many notes in this fragrance that sometimes it's hard to tell exactly what you're feeling. It's like it makes your head spin, sunny and joyful, but at the same time there's something strange that makes you think. Sweet, yes, but also a little alien

a spring fragrance, undoubtedly, but it's not just sunny. the brightness of mimosa is truly felt here, but there's something else. powdery notes add lightness, creating an interesting contrast. in the heat, it might not be entirely appropriate, but for a warm day - quite so. the fragrance evokes associations with awakening, but doesn't give a clear answer. it's as if it hides its secrets, leaving room for contemplation

I bought this perfume almost by accident, and honestly, it turned out to be a bit sharp for my taste. It's a typical summer fragrance, but here's the surprising thing: people started asking what scent I was wearing. In the end, I even bought it again because I got used to it. It's a real shame they stopped producing it, because I would gladly buy more to diversify my collection, but only as an addition to my main favorite scents
