Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Amethyst Oud unfolds as a layered story, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The style of Korres comes through in the way notes appear and fade. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum emphasizes the right density and pace of development.

As soon as the fragrance opens you detect invigorating sunny first notes: Grapefruit and Mandarin. These 2 notes build a sensation of cool purity that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

When the opening settles you notice Geranium and Lavender carrying a harmonious floral direction.

The internal accord map is shaped by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Floral and Wood with each one in a clear role. The gender direction is masculine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

From the group perspective the profile is anchored in Citrus, Floral, Green and Wood. At family level the scent maps to Fern and Wood.

Taken together Amethyst Oud reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The scent, it seems, isn't about oud at all, but rather tart geranium mixed with citruses and vetiver. The oud kinda slips away, maybe I just didn't catch it at the right moment. Intriguing, but not straightforward ))))
