Perfume information

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Silver Rain Chartreuse is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The signature of La Prairie is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum keeps the depth and body this composition needs.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Fruit, Citrus, Whiteflower and Wood. The framework further includes Spicy, Gourmet, Musk and Floral. From a family perspective the fragrance belongs to Floral, Fruit and Sweet.

Right at the start you catch sweet-fresh fruity opening notes: Apple, Lemon Verbena and blackberry.

When the opening settles you notice Forest Berries, Gardenia, Plum and Tuberose holding a velvety fruity direction.

The gender direction is feminine, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In projection Middle defines the projection profile in space.

In summary Silver Rain Chartreuse holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best understood on skin.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The smell from the bottle is some wild verbena tartness, just awful. At first, it seems refreshing, but then these sweet fruits and flowers start pushing through, and it becomes unbearable. Reminds me of Gucci's Gardenia, but without any sparkle. Just terrible 😤
