This fragrance is the result of a creative collaboration between Julien Plos and Nathalie Lorson. From the Compositions Parfumees collection; released as eau de parfum.

Description of the composition

The composition of Imperial Green unfolds as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The signature of Lalique is clear in the way notes appear and fade. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum emphasizes the right density and pace of development.

The accord architecture is shaped by these accords: Floral, Wood and Amber with each one in a clear role. The stylistic positioning is masculine, which clarifies the composition character.

In a unified mixed pyramid the notes arrive together with a soft-dry woody mood: Ambrox, Orange blossom, Patchouli and Vetiver. In this format 4 notes sound as one voice, creating a sense of noble depth that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The inner phases are perceived as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

The bottle, of course, attracts attention-it was precisely what sparked my interest. The price and design seemed to whisper that I needed this fragrance. Good thing I have a decant, otherwise it would have been a shame. The fragrance itself is interesting, but the vetiver ruined everything. It brings associations with Givenchy's cologne from the Gentleman series. Overall, it's pleasant, but the grassy nuance of vetiver makes it quite specific

Lorson is also in the mix. Interesting, but it seems the focus is on the base. Orange blossom at first, then ambroxan for the trail. Reminds me of Japanese minimalism, don't you think?
