History and Concept

Lancôme 2000 et Une Nuit, launched in 1999, is a true tribute to the mysterious Eastern night.

Created as an eau de parfum, this women's fragrance belongs to the floral family.

The composition was created by renowned perfumer Christine Nagel, celebrated for her ability to craft sensual, contemporary olfactory stories.

Olfactory Portrait

At the heart of the fragrance lies a luxurious rose, surrounded by sparkling aldehydes.

The piquant spice of black pepper lends the composition a bold edge, while a base of musk and a woody accord adds warmth and depth.

Thanks to its light sillage, the fragrance wears intimately and softly—an ideal choice for a romantic evening or a cozy date.

What to Compare It With

If you have fallen for this composition, be sure to try similar fragrances: Gucci A Song for the Rose with its elegant rose, Alexander McQueen Celtic Rose—a more mystical interpretation—and Khalis Rose Oudh for lovers of Eastern accents.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

What a wonderful scent! It reminds me of the good old days. Here you can feel notes of rose with aldehydes, and musk and spices add an interesting accent. If patchouli were added, it would be a true vintage!
