Ôver The Top — a floral Lancôme fragrance

Ôver The Top Eau de Toilette is a women's fragrance by Lancôme, released in 2025.

The fragrance belongs to the floral family and is part of the Les Ô collection — a line in which the brand explores the expressive, memorable and emotional facets of modern perfumery.

The composition was created by master perfumer Carlos Benaïm, known for creating striking floral formulas with a distinctive character.

In Ôver The Top, he combines an airy white-floral impression, a soft rosy heart and an unusual green nuance, giving the eau de toilette a fresh, artistic character rather than a conventional one.

The story of Lancôme began in 1935 with an idea from Armand Petitjean, a former student of François Coty, to establish French supremacy in the art of beauty.

Today, the brand's DNA is still built around elegance, emotionality and attention to detail — and it is in this context that Ôver The Top comes across as a bright, modern and feminine release.

The fragrance's character and development

From the very first seconds, Ôver The Top draws attention with an expressive floral accord.

Then the composition becomes softer and more romantic: rose adds a delicate, powdery petal-like nuance, while tomato leaf in the base creates a green contrast and makes the scent feel fresher.

Despite its eau de toilette concentration, the fragrance has a very strong sillage.

It is noticeable in the air and is best suited to those who enjoy compliment-getting compositions with an assertive presence rather than intimate, skin-close scents.

Ôver The Top is especially suitable for cool weather, evening gatherings, formal occasions and situations when you want to make an impression.

How to apply Ôver The Top

Because of its pronounced sillage, the fragrance should be applied carefully. On skin, it is best to apply enough to let yourself enter its scented cloud, while one or two sprays are sufficient on clothing.

This approach allows the composition to unfold beautifully without overwhelming the surrounding space.

Ôver The Top is suitable for women who appreciate expressive floral fragrances with a green accent and enjoy leaving a noticeable impression.

No other concentrations of this release are listed in the available data, so it is impossible to compare the eau de toilette with Eau de Parfum or Extrait versions.

Similar fragrances

If you are interested in floral compositions with a distinctive vintage mood or soft musky-powdery nuances, consider Guerlain Chamade, Lorenzo Villoresi Teint de Neige and The Body Shop White Musk.

At the same time, Ôver The Top stands out with its combination of jasmine, rose and tomato leaf: the green note adds an unexpected freshness to the familiar floral genre.

As a result, Ôver The Top reveals itself as a distinctive feminine Lancôme fragrance with strong sillage, a romantic floral heart and an original green finish.

It is a choice for those who want to wear not merely a pleasant perfume, but an expressive image with a French spirit and a modern presentation.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

A very pleasant and genuinely unusual fragrance. Tomato leaf and rose coexist perfectly here, so the rose doesn’t take over everything but sounds like part of the overall composition
