Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

"Rose? I don't get where you found it. To me, it smells like raspberry jam," my friend once said when I was looking for beautiful oriental rose fragrances for him. And, well, he was right (or not) Rôses Berberanza is the name of a raspberry variety, which, in essence, is the main accord in this perfume composition. But perfumer Julien Rasquinet, who has reached heights in creating oriental fragrances, didn't limit himself to just raspberry, adding Damask rose with its rich, spicy, and bright aroma. The combination of rose and raspberry (or red berries, especially blackcurrant) can be considered classic, often revisited by modern perfumers. Personally, I think it's one of the most beautiful combinations. Of course, much has already been said on this topic. Among the best examples are Nin-Shar Jul et Mad Paris, Lipstick Rose, and Portrait of a Lady Frédéric Malle. In the first case, it's a rose with raspberry wine, and in the other two, with raspberry marmalade and marshmallow. In Rôses Berberanza, the floral accord is also excellent: the rose here is surprisingly beautiful, bright, and voluminous. Raspberry emphasizes it, adding freshness and multifacetedness, taking the rose from the realm of fantasy to the pages of fashion magazines. In the first few minutes, Rasquinet's accord resembles Dominique Ropion's accord from Portrait of a Lady, meaning it's similar to raspberry-rose marmalade. Then it becomes similar to Lipstick Rose with its powdery-marshmallowy nuance that I love so much. But the similarities end there. The perfumer places Rôses Berberanza in a familiar oriental atmosphere. Nuts, honey, saffron, vanilla, and benzoin serve as the background for the rose and raspberry. All these elements are well-discernible and create interesting contrasts. Hazelnut appears quite quickly - its

A terrible scent that only causes disgust. The rose here got lost among some nutty crumbs, and the freshness of raspberry only makes things worse. It's not bold, it's just weird. I absolutely didn't expect something like this to evoke negative emotions in me

At first it's kinda like pistachio, but then you just choke on this sickly sweet powder. Honestly, it didn't really grab me

Writing a review after a home test. Combination of roses, sweets, light notes of lemonade 'Taiga gift'. Rich, with juniper, blueberry, blackberry. Similar in the opening. Suitable for a man too, unlike the sweet 'Parfait!'

Autumn. It's a time when roses start losing their freshness, and spices just add to the heaviness. No sunny vibes, just a depressing atmosphere. There's something sharp in the air, like someone forgot to clear old flowers from the flowerbed. And these pistachios. They don't save the situation. The cappuccino at the coffee shop isn't cheering me up either, quite the opposite, it just emphasizes all this hopelessness. No pleasure, just disappointment

There's so much interesting stuff in the composition, but what I get in the end is rose with ginger honey and nuts. The delicate pistachios quickly got 'overpowered' and washed down with rum. Overall, it's not a bad scent, sweet and rosy, but I'd like to smell more of the declared components. Maybe when cold evenings arrive, I'll return to it again 🌟

What a wonderful scent! So much deliciousness here - berries, pistachios, honey, nuts, and vanilla. And at the heart of the composition is rose, beautifully accompanied by violet and fresh greenery. Just awesome! 🎉

At first, the fragrance even drew me in, but after half an hour it starts to get annoying and tiring. Too much rose and raspberry sweetness. I used to look for nutty notes, but everything I tried just didn't impress. Nuts in perfumes always seem too sweet to me. Rum isn't for me either. It's a shame, because the note pyramid looks interesting, and the opening was really promising

The scent reminds me of sweet jam with pistachio and milk cream. Such a culinary combination just tempts you to try this dessert. The fragrance is playful and feminine, but it has its own unique charm 💖

once again, a consultant at ZY tried to surprise me with rose, but, alas, it didn't work out. it seems I'm too demanding when it comes to this note, and it's not easy to please me. it turned out to be a bit intrusive again, even stronger than Parfait de Roses, and more intense, but. for me, everything is ruined by some unpleasant note, reminiscent of sour and moldy spices. maybe it's my skin's reaction. but I'll still try a few more times

Roses, black and burgundy, just overwhelm with their presence. The sweetness, spicy, with coniferous notes, only causes irritation. The warmth, which should be pleasant, actually feels oppressive. In the bathroom, this scent gives off some kind of resin, like a decomposing cedar cone. Interesting? Nah, it just repeats itself after a bit, and becomes even more suffocating

The roses here are kind of sad and sharp, with notes of alcohol and overripe raspberry. The alcohol seems to have appeared because the raspberries started to ferment. There's too much ginger, it's invigorating, but at the same time adds some kind of masculine nuance. For me, this fragrance turned out to be too heavy, although many praise it, and I just suffocated from it

Simple scent, but inspires trust. Nutty notes create this feeling. Rose is in the foreground. Don't understand who it suits - universal

Against a raspberry accent, pink petals emerge combined with woody notes, and the tartness of the raspberry gives the fragrance an intriguing sillage 🤔
