Identity and Release History

The fragrance Lancôme Parfait de Roses, also known in Russia as «Parfait de Roses», was released in 2017 and is part of the prestigious collection Les Parfums Grands Crus.

This perfume was created under the wing of the legendary French house Lancôme, whose history began in 1935 thanks to Armand Petitjean, a student of the great François Coty.

The brand has always sought to assert French superiority in the world of beauty, and Parfait de Roses continues this tradition, offering a refined floral experience.

Positioning and Wearability

Parfait de Roses is positioned as a unisex fragrance, making it ideal for any gender who appreciates exquisite compositions.

In the concentration of perfume water, it has a medium trail that leaves behind an elegant and subtle trace.

For optimal use, pointwise application on the skin, for example on the wrists and neck, is recommended, and for a more intense effect, one can enter the cloud of spray on clothing.

This fragrance is perfect for spring and summer days, as well as for romantic evenings, thanks to its floral and slightly spicy character.

If you liked Parfait de Roses, you might also appreciate similar fragrances, such as Van Cleef & Arpels Rose Rouge, Nina Ricci L'Air du Temps and Chanel Paris - Venise, which offer alternative interpretations of floral themes.

Authors and Influence

Behind the creation of this masterpiece is the talented perfumer Nathalie Lorson, known for her ability to blend classic notes with modern accents.

Her work on Parfait de Roses demonstrates a deep understanding of floral compositions and adds uniqueness to the fragrance, reflecting the innovative spirit of Lancôme.

This release strengthens the brand's position in the high-quality perfume segment and attracts the attention of connoisseurs seeking something special in the world of fragrances.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The fragrance pyramid of Lancôme Parfait de Roses begins with the top notes, where aldehydes and pink pepper (red berries) create a fresh and slightly spicy start.

In the heart of the composition, liqueur and rose unfold, adding sweetness and floral depth.

The base consists of benzoin, tonka beans, iris, and vanilla, which impart warmth, a creamy texture, and longevity.

These notes belong to the groups balsamic, drinks, floral, gourmand, and spicy, making the fragrance complex and multifaceted.

On the skin, the development starts with a bright chord of aldehydes, which gradually give way to the delicate rose and sweet liqueur, and in the base, the soft notes of benzoin and vanilla create a cozy and long-lasting finish.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

A sweet rose scent with vanilla and powder, spices are also present. Aldehydes aren't noticeable, but the liqueur aftertaste is definitely there

In this fragrance I only caught rose and vanilla. Didn't notice anything else. It's quite pleasant and soft, but nothing more than that!!

“Parfait de Rôses” by Maison Lancôme is another big name that, unfortunately, was discontinued in Russia, a place where roses are truly appreciated. Why did this happen? Maybe because the line already has the wonderful Rôses Berberanza, which also delights with its rose-raspberry scent. This new fragrance can be classified as gourmand, but they are still different. Rôses Berberanza focuses on raspberry, with added spices and creamy nuts, while Nathalie Lorson created her version, concentrating on sweet, glossy notes.

The scent might remind you of rose candies that start to melt in the warmth and turn into sticky caramel. The opening of Parfait de Rôses looks promising and elegant, though it quickly fades: a crisp chime of aldehydes with a light pink pepper creates freshness, but doesn't overshadow the mature, rich rose. However, this rose is still far from a full oriental sound, as well as the feeling of a fresh flower. 🌹

Parfait de Rôses is a perfumer's dream: complex and sometimes heavy, with a feminine character thanks to powdery notes of musk and iris. Oriental notes are represented by the creamy sweetness of tonka beans and frankincense, but they don't achieve a full oriental accord that could change the whole composition. The flower remains at the center, and the other notes serve only as a background. The fragrance is very sensitive to weather. On different days, it can be a sparkling rose, a delicate marshmallow, or a thick rose oil that somehow ended up in a chic bottle. Sometimes, old-fashioned lipstick shades even appear in it. But in the heat, it becomes clear what stickiness of rose lollipops some Parfait de Rôses users are talking about. And yes, that experience isn't the most pleasant. I think this fragrance would smell best in autumn or winter, but alas, it's too late to talk about that now 🍂

Adding to my impressions! This fragrance is just heavy and rich, perfect for the cold season. It's clearly an evening scent, but the alcoholic note might be a bit surprising. I decided to try it on my partner. On me, it opened up as a sweet rose liqueur, but on him - something like cherry beer... even Belgian! But overall, the fragrance is truly gorgeous and sophisticated! 🍷

This Lancome fragrance really stands out among luxury offerings. The rose here plays its unique role, and the other notes perfectly complement it. It's perfect for special occasions when you want to feel truly unique 🌹

Nathalie Lorson, the creator of Encre Noir and Black Opium, presented her new work for Lancôme - a pink panna cotta with liqueur and tonka beans. This is truly an exquisite creation that delights with its tenderness and vibrancy. It stands out from all the floral and gourmand fragrances we've seen in the last ten years. A true masterpiece! 🌸

Holy moly, this perfume just blows my mind! An intense rose, as if squeezed from its very heart, blends with a viscous liqueur. It's so lipsticky, you just want to scoop it up and smear it on yourself, and Turkish delight, dusted with vanilla powder, adds sweetness. This fragrance is definitely for special moments when you need to make an impression. Its sillage is just enormous, and its longevity - top-notch. Overall, magnificent

When I asked a consultant at ZYA for "a rose to make me go crazy", they, unfortunately, offered me exactly that. I didn't lose my mind, but oh my, how beautiful, mysterious, and balsamic it is! I didn't notice any banality in this scent, and a light hint of liqueur gives it a little mischief 🍷

A rose that's perfect for winter! The scent is just magnificent, and the sillage is impressive. The main thing is not to overdo it with the amount, otherwise in a closed space it can be too sweet and cloying 😄

What the hell! I got 5 ml, not thrilled. Sweetness like in liqueur, rose jam. The peppery note pierces, making you move, not drown in cloying mush

This is just something unbelievable! Makes me want to taste it! A true masterpiece of roses... A liqueur infused with red rose petals! I dream of getting at least a sample or a decant... I'd even be ready to eat the blotter ) On a man, by the way, it's not noticeable at all
