Identity and Release History

Immerse yourself in freshness and elegance with the perfume Lanvin Oxygene, which debuted in 2000 and became part of the iconic Oxygene collection.

This fragrance was created under the wing of the legendary Lanvin perfume house, whose history dates back to the heart of Parisian fashion since 1889, where Jeanne Lanvin laid the foundations of exquisite style and olfactory art.

Oxygene embodies the spirit of modern femininity, offering a balance between aquatic freshness and floral tenderness, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate refinement and dynamism in one bottle.

Positioning and Character

As a feminine fragrance, the eau de parfum Oxygene delights with a medium sillage that leaves a soft but memorable trail — perfect for daily wear or special moments.

It belongs to the floral and aquatic families, and its notes fall into the groups gourmand, musky, white floral, and woody, creating a multifaceted composition.

Dupont Passenger Pour Femme and Marc Jacobs Essence, which also combine freshness with floral accents for contemporary looks.

The Creators Behind the Fragrance

The magic of Oxygene was born from the talent of two outstanding perfumers: Alberto Morillas and Pascal Mourgue, whose collaborative work brought notes of innovation and classic elegance to this release.

Their work highlights the DNA of the Lanvin brand, connecting traditions with modern trends to create a fragrance that remains relevant and inspiring for years to come.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Lanvin Oxygene begins with a sparkling duo of bergamot and spicy black pepper, which provides instant freshness and an energetic start.

At the heart of the composition, tender notes of gardenia, creamy milk, and classic rose unfold, creating a soft and enveloping bouquet.

The base wraps in warm notes of powdery iris, woody sandalwood, and sensual musk, ensuring longevity and a cozy finish.

This harmonious blend makes Oxygene a versatile fragrance that smoothly transitions from a bright opening to a tender depth, ideally suited for different times of the day and moods.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The men's version, in my opinion, reminds me more of freshness; you can really smell coniferous trees and fir notes there. But here I smell milk and gardenia, though it's more like a chemical interpretation of milk. Natural milk doesn't smell like that; it's more like a creamy dessert. Pleasant, light, like whipped cream for a capricious lady. You can wear it anywhere, there's practically no sillage, and longevity is average. It's unlikely to impress anyone with this scent, but of course, you have to come to the library in *something* 🙂

The scent is sweetish, with milky-powdery notes. Indeed, it's very cozy and gentle, creating a feeling of femininity. I like it more than many other perfumes from this brand. Overall, quite an interesting choice, didn't disappoint

The fragrance turned out creamy-powdery, really pleasant and light. It's feminine and soft, like a gentle breeze. Delicate and airy, like fluffy clouds. I really liked it. The longevity, honestly, is average, but that's not so important 🌸

The scent here isn't just light, it's like it envelops you, creating a sense of volume. Don't expect any fresh, ocean-like notes. A creamy texture with a hint of pepper and powdery accents - that's what you'll experience. All of this is very delicate and exquisite, like a whisper in your ear 🌸

It's such a shame that this fragrance isn't what it used to be. It's really beautiful and unusual, but the aquatic notes, which I've always hated, dominate here. The combination of milk and a salty touch creates something strange, powdery, and soft, but alas, it's not what I expected. Memories of how it used to be make me sad )

From the first glance, it's clear there'll be an aquatic note inside the bottle. And, surprisingly, expectations weren't disappointed. This aquatic scent seems quite balanced, but the milky nuances create a strange feeling. The mix of salty water and milk is something unusual. The fragrance reminds me of a seashore and a light breeze, but without seaweed. Overall, the impression leaves much to be desired

The fragrance, actually, has nothing to do with ozone notes or aquatics, even though I love those things. The name and design, of course, hint at that, but essentially it's very warm and soft. It has something intelligent and restrained about it, the woody-powdery accents make it really pleasant

At first, this fragrance might seem too sharp, but then a real BEAUTY unfolds on the skin! Royal flowers seem to drown in sweet vanilla cream. And what's amazing, it lasts a very long time - even after a shower, its sillage doesn't disappear, not giving way to Narciso Rodriguez. That's why it became one of my absolute favorite fragrances. I just adore it!

The fragrance really stands out with its originality. It unfolds wonderfully, creating a beautiful composition. There's a slight peppery note, as well as lipstick nuances, but they aren't too overpowering. The sillage is also delightful, leaving a pleasant impression!

The scent is truly unusual! First, pepper stings the nose, so sharp and bold! :) Then comes the softness of rose, gardenia, and milky accents. This contrast gives the perfume its uniqueness and originality. But the bottle design... makes me think of some ordinary sports deodorant, which would be better replaced with something more interesting!!!

The fragrance I picked is just awful. My colleagues say it suits me, but I don't get how they can be so wrong. Gardenia in milk? That's just nonsense! The scent is too cloying, and its longevity doesn't save it. It's not expensive, but rather stuffy and irritating. The bottle looks decent, sure, but that doesn't save the situation. The color isn't impressive either. Overall, I don't recommend it ))

The combo of bergamot, pepper, and milk isn't fresh air after the rain, but rather some unbearable heaviness. At first, you can smell gardenia and iris, but they're so faded, like they're lifeless. The white pepper, which was supposed to add sharpness, just makes everything even more oppressive. This breeze, this milky haze - none of it evokes any positive emotions. Rose in iris powder? Yeah, that's just a bunch of words that don't bring up any associations. In the end, sandalwood, musk, and withered irises with raindrops on their petals - that's not luxury, but rather a disappointment. All of this leaves an unpleasant aftertaste, as if someone forgot about the true art of perfumery

I remember how long I hesitated, adding it to my cart then removing it. In the end, I never decided to buy a full bottle, only got a decant. And, you know, it's a good thing I didn't buy the bottle - the scent turned out to be quite strange. No aquatic notes at all, rather, it's some kind of synthetic office smell with a light hint of bergamot. And, unfortunately, it doesn't last long

First, there's a light powdery note with a cool touch. Then the fragrance unfolds, becoming soft and warm, with silky and sophisticated nuances. It's truly mysterious and subtle. If we're talking seasons, early spring is its time. It smells especially beautiful in cool weather. At least, that's how it is on me. Overall, I really like it! 🌸

This fragrance was a real find for me. When I was looking for something for myself, it just blew me away. I remember there were many bottles, and the name slipped my mind. But then I found it anyway, describing the bottle as a 'little boat' - that's what I called it for myself. Now it's my absolute favorite scent: it's fresh and cool, like a gentle breeze. Friends always recognize me by this fragrance, even though sometimes I don't even smell it myself. To enjoy it, I spray it on a scarf. This scent is simply magnificent and captivating. It's a shame it's harder to get now
