Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Eau Gourmande Violette unfolds as a living composition, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Laura Mercier comes through in the way notes appear and fade. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette keeps a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Fruit, Green, Floral and Wood. The palette also extends to Musk and Whiteflower. At family level the scent maps to Floral and Fruit.

In the top tier you detect sweet-fresh fruity first notes: Blackcurrant and Violet leaf.

In the central layer you sense Mimosa and Peony keeping a velvety rose-iris direction.

The accord profile is driven by these accords: Floral, Fruit, Musc and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. The gender direction is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In wear duration High indicates a stable lasting impression.

Overall Eau Gourmande Violette holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. This is the type of composition best understood on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Mimosa scent, tender and light, blends with dry raspberry, creating a feeling of something ephemeral. On the skin, it's like a translucent shadow following me. It's not just a perfume, it's an ideal companion for spring and summer, but there's something bitter in it that makes you think. WOW!

Sweet, but somehow too muted a scent. The powder is a bit dry, the berry notes are pleasant enough, but something's missing. Delicate, yes, light, but I can't say it impressed me at first sniff. When I saw it on a friend's table, I thought: "Wow, what tenderness!" But then, when I decided to buy it, it was nowhere to be found. How could that be? Utter disappointment
