About Rose Sublime

Introducing Rose Sublime — an Eau de Parfum by the French house Laurence Dumont, released in 2014.

Although marketed as a men's fragrance, it has a versatile character and belongs to the floral and gourmand families. It is a true ode to the beauty of Mediterranean nature.

Character and Sillage

Rose Sublime is not just a rose — it is an entire garden after a summer rain. The composition opens with juicy citrus notes, gradually flowing into a delicate floral heart with aquatic nuances.

A base of amber, musk, and woods creates a very strong, enveloping sillage that stays with you for many hours.

The fragrance is perfect for romantic evenings and special occasions, yet its freshness also makes it suitable for daytime wear.

Brand Heritage

The French perfume house Laurence Dumont was founded in 2000 and is a fine example of how a passion for fragrance can be passed down from generation to generation.

Rose Sublime embodies the brand's philosophy: sophistication, naturalness, and emotionality. Official website: air-val.com.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The scent is indeed sweetish, almost like candy, with a clear rose note. The aquatic nuances here aren't marine; rather, they create a feeling of freshness, as if it's imbued with moisture. This makes it light and airy, more like a body spray than a full-fledged perfume. Overall, it's not that dense, but at the same time, it leaves an interesting aftertaste
