About Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill

Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill Eau de Parfum is a unisex fragrance launched in 2023 for those who love fresh, juicy and unusual compositions.

The release is part of the Les Colognes collection and continues the Louis Vuitton fragrance line, where the art of travel, impeccable craftsmanship and modern luxury are expressed through carefully constructed olfactory visions.

Released as an eau de parfum, Pacific Chill evokes the scent of a fresh fruit drink made with citrus, greens and ripe fruit.

Its character is both lively and soft: the cool opening gradually becomes rounder, fruitier and slightly creamy, while retaining a feeling of freshness and sunlit air.

Fragrance Character and Development

Pacific Chill opens brightly and energetically. Citrus notes of lemon, orange and citron create a sparkling impression, while blackcurrant adds a juicy berry tartness.

Peppermint intensifies the cooling effect, while coriander adds a subtle spicy accent, keeping the composition from feeling flat or simply sweet.

As it develops, the fragrance becomes softer and more delicate.

Apricot adds a velvety fruity note, basil maintains the green mood, carrot seeds lend the scent a subtle earthy nuance, and May rose is woven gently into the composition without turning it into a classic floral bouquet.

Ambrette, fig and dates emerge in the base. They shift the freshness toward a warm, slightly musky and sunlit drydown, while Pacific Chill retains its airy quality.

This is a fragrance that moves smoothly from a cool citrus burst to a soft fruity-green cloud on the skin.

Who Pacific Chill Is For and When to Wear It

Pacific Chill is positioned as a versatile fragrance for women and men.

It reveals itself especially beautifully in warm weather—in spring, summer and early autumn, when you want lightness, freshness and a noticeable yet unobtrusive fragrance accent.

The composition is well suited to everyday wear, walks, travel, relaxing by the water and informal gatherings.

Its moderate sillage makes it expressive enough to attract compliments without overwhelming the surrounding space.

Pacific Chill is ideal for those looking for a modern fruity-citrus fragrance with a green character rather than straightforward sweetness.

Dosage and Wearability

For application to the skin, 1–2 sprays are enough to let the composition unfold gradually and maintain its balance of citrus freshness, fruity softness and green coolness.

1–2 sprays are also recommended on clothing, after testing the fabric’s reaction on an inconspicuous area.

No alternative concentrations are listed in the database for Pacific Chill, so it is not possible to compare it with Eau de Toilette or Extrait versions.

The fragrance is best evaluated on the skin: body heat will highlight the apricot, fig and ambrette, while the citrus-green nuances may linger longer on fabric.

The Perfumer and Its Place in the Collection

The composition was created by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, one of the brand’s key perfumers.

His signature in Pacific Chill lies in his ability to combine luminous citrus, fresh greenery and expressive fruits so that the fragrance feels full-bodied, clean and contemporary.

Within Les Colognes, this release stands out not for strict cologne-like transparency, but for a juicier and more gourmand interpretation of freshness.

If you would like to explore a similar mood, consider Vittorio Legend №11.01, as well as Shirley May Action Four and Attar de Astana Arabian Summer.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

How changeable it is. Below 20°C I smell coriander, carrot seeds, basil and currant branches - no fruit at all, just greenery. But in the heat, above 25°C, fig and fruit appear, while the coriander and carrot disappear completely. I wear it more often in cool weather. I find it interesting to pick apart according to the listed notes: there's no sweetness, and no unpleasant base either
