Fragrance information:

The world first encountered Mille Feux by Louis Vuitton in 2016. By character, a feminine fragrance drawing from the leather family. Perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud left a distinct mark on this composition. The fragrance belongs to the leather, wood, and fruit groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of floral can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. One of the scents from the Parfums collection. Available as eau de parfum.

The sillage is moderate — present, but never overpowering. Apply 2-3 sprays whether on skin or fabric — it works equally well either way. It stays on the skin for a good while — longevity is firmly in the moderate range. Country of origin — France, and that already says something about the quality. Mille Feux Louis Vuitton unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Mille Feux unfolds as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The style of Louis Vuitton is evident from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum supports the depth and body this composition needs.

At the opening of the pyramid you sense radiant lemon-bergamot first notes: Bergamot and Raspberry.

When the opening settles you notice Iris, Jasmine, Osmanthus, Rose and Saffron holding a velvety rose-iris direction.

The olfactory framework is shaped by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Powdery, Leather and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In longevity terms Middle indicates a stable lasting impression.

From the group perspective the composition is built around Floral, Fruit, Leather and Wood. It also reaches into Citrus, Whiteflower, Spicy and Earthy / Mossy.

Overall Mille Feux sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Rose with a lipstick nuance, saffron, suede, and sweet berries, probably raspberry. The scent is quite sweet and lasts long, the sillage is noticeable in the first half hour. Overall, the quality is good, but it lacks originality. For cold days, it might have worked, but the price is simply exorbitant

I realized something's off with this scent, and it's the second time. Osmanthus, it seems, ruins everything. Although I appreciate this note, in combination with dried apricots, some kind of jasmine appears that I really don't like. )

This scent seems overly complex to me; the raspberry here isn't all that delicate, and the leather and rose are drowning in spices and tobacco smoke. It's clearly for those who want to attract attention, for a glamorous person who isn't afraid to be in the spotlight. But for me, it's currently too loud and inappropriate 😅

In this fragrance, raspberry simply doesn't give you peace, as if it's in the foreground and not going to retreat. I recall a similar situation in one of the Black Dress flankers. For the first couple of hours, it just dominates, unashamedly. But then, fortunately, the composition begins to unfold, becoming more refined. The promised leather appears, enveloped in a tobacco-saffron cloud and with a light touch of Bulgarian rose 🌹
