Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Ombre Nomade evolves as a layered story, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The creative approach of Louis Vuitton is evident in details that define the fragrance identity. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum supports a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The accord architecture is driven by these accords: Wood without random overlap. The gender direction is masculine, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

Without strict stage separation the notes arrive together with a soft-dry woody mood: Oud. In this case 1 note acts as one coherent layer, forming lasting warm resonance that feels seamless.

The inner phases are felt as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Wood and Gourmet. Within olfactory families the scent maps to East and Wood.

Taken together Ombre Nomade holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best understood on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This scent really surprised me, but I couldn't wear it - it's just too loud for me. I gave a decant to a friend who's into perfumery. The scent is dense, with a sourish woody undertone. They say it's smoky, but I felt like it even had notes of smoked fruits ))

A scent with oud, it has a lot of resins and fruity notes. Birch adds smokiness, and rose slightly freshens the overall picture. The result is a multi-layered composition, not flat, but sounds very interesting and attention-grabbing

A scent that evokes mixed feelings. Five stars, sure, but one definitely goes for the lack of originality. Once again, we see a variation on the theme of oud, raspberry rose, and isobutyl quinoline leather. Although there are nuances, it doesn't quite reach Tuscan Leather. Bright, dense, and rich, with a slight viscosity, yet well-balanced and logically developing. The sillage is simply amazing, but the longevity leaves something to be desired - 4-7 hours, and this is within the normal range. Perhaps, at this moment, this is the best the brand has done. Creating something like this in 2018 is certainly not shameful, but it is still executed at a high level
