Description of the composition

The composition of 1958 l'émotion is built as a continuous scent journey, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The signature of Maison Chatrian is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction.

In the first seconds you detect ozonic cool first notes: Aquatic accord and Citrus accord. These 2 notes set a sense of sea breeze that gives the fragrance a clear opening statement.

When the opening settles you notice Angelica and Calamus holding a cool herbal direction. At drydown level the line is anchored through Amber, Cedar and Vetiver, extending a earthy woody-resinous trail.

The accord architecture is built around these accords: Aquatic, Citrus, Wood and Mineral without random overlap. The profile is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Mineral, Citrus, Green and Balsamic. It also reaches into Wood.

Taken together 1958 l'émotion holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best judged in wear.
