The longevity is genuinely phenomenal: firmly in the very high range. Country of origin — France. Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of B683 Extrait unfolds as a layered story, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Marc-Antoine Barrois is clear from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Perfume extract emphasizes the depth and body this composition needs.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Gourmet, Spicy, Wood and Fruit. The palette also extends to Green. From a family perspective the fragrance belongs to Spicy and Wood.

In a unified mixed pyramid the opening appears as one connected movement with a expressively spicy mood: Cumin, Green Apple, Oud, Patchouli, Pink pepper, Safraleine and Sandalwood.

The inner phases are read as a continuous motion from lift to depth, which gives the structure continuity.

The internal accord map is shaped by these accords: Fruit, Wood, Leather and Spicy with each one in a clear role. The profile is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In longevity terms Very high suggests confident staying power.

Overall B683 Extrait reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the base secures the trail. These are the scent structures best experienced on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

What the hell, look at this picture and just smell how this fragrance behaves on your skin. There's no woody or any other accord here. It's just, damn, smoked mackerel!

I can't say this fragrance gave me a "wow" effect, like Ganymede did. In my opinion, it's too sandalwood-heavy and doesn't bring anything new to the composition. Mainly, you can hear an accord of sandalwood, patchouli, and oud, which is lightly covered by a velvety base of violet, saffron, and apple. Very similar to Dries Van Noten Frederic Malle. They really have a similar accord: saffron, patchouli, sandalwood, woody notes, and vanilla. The differences are only in nuances: Malle has nutmeg, while B683 has cumin, Malle has a floral block, and B683 has a violet-apple one. Also, something in this fragrance reminded me of Promise by Malle, but it's more of an association than an exact resemblance. The fragrance is beautiful, high-quality, but, alas, derivative((( The sandalwood here is magnificent - powerful, woody, with a slight saltiness and creaminess, beautifully complemented by patchouli and vanilla. Longevity and sillage are simply amazing. It will unfold beautifully in warm weather and also warm you up in the cool 🌟
