Mexx Mexx Black for Her: Identity and History

Dive into a world of vibrant emotions with the fragrance Mexx Mexx Black for Her, which debuted in 2009 as part of the legendary Mexx Black collection.

This women's perfume embodies the free spirit and positive energy of the Mexx brand, founded in 1980 by Rattan Chadha.

Since its launch, Mexx Black for Her has won the hearts of fragrance lovers with its bold character and versatility, perfectly suited for those who appreciate modern interpretations of classic themes.

Positioning and Usage Practice

Mexx Mexx Black for Her is positioned as a women's fragrance in eau de toilette concentration, ensuring freshness and lightness for daily wear.

Its sillage is rated as medium, leaving a subtle yet noticeable trail that doesn't overwhelm those around.

For optimal development, it is recommended to apply 1 to 2 sprays on the skin to feel the opening chords, and 2 to 3 sprays on clothing for a more lasting effect.

The fragrance belongs to the Floral, Fruity, and Oriental families, making it versatile for different seasons and occasions — from daytime outings to evening gatherings.

If you liked Mexx Black for Her, be sure to try similar fragrances such as Gucci Gucci Rush 2, Salvador Dali Sea & Sun in Cadaques, and Victorio & Lucchino Viva! Esencia, which also blend fruity and floral motifs with oriental accents.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Mexx Mexx Black for Her represents a skillful journey from fresh initial chords to a warm and sensual base.

In the top notes, juicy and bright elements dominate: black currant adds a tangy fruitiness, while calendula, freesia, and peony create a delicate floral bouquet that instantly captivates.

The heart of the composition unfolds with more complex shades, where apricot and pear impart a sweet fruity depth, and cedar and lotus introduce woody and aquatic notes, balancing with exotic lychee.

In the base, the fragrance gains stability and warmth through the combination of amber, sandalwood, and vanilla, creating a cozy and long-lasting finish that gently envelops the skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The scent is sweet, flowers and berries intertwine, and vanilla seems to envelop everything. The longevity is impressive, the sillage leaves a trail, but there's something heavy about it. The vanilla is too intense, sometimes even suffocating 🌧️

Listen, it smells completely different on me. I can't say it's in my top favorites, but I often spritz it on myself in the summer. I actually quite like it, even a lot 😒

This scent brings up powerful emotions for me. It definitely didn't come into my life by chance. I'm thinking about buying it, but I'm worried old memories might come back. But maybe it's better to just leave it as is, so it can just make my heart happy 🌼

What a damn cool scent! It's so soft and pleasant, just vanilla-fruity, and with warm sandalwood - that's totally amazing. Longevity is not bad, but it projects a bit softly

Back in my student days, this was an affordable dupe for Gucci Rush 2 for me. I recently bought it again, but now it seems completely different. Mexx is good, of course - a mix of freshness and sweetness on a sort of semi-masculine base. I like it from start to finish. Perfect for everyday wear. Even though many complain, the EDT has decent longevity on me, definitely around six hours. But still, they say it's worth checking out the EDP, because besides all that beauty, it also has sillage 😔

Coolness and lightness, a blackberry note, like an airy mousse. This scent brings back vivid memories for me

This scent, I guess, is one of those that really stuck with me. The blackcurrant is definitely there, but there's also something a bit artificial, which gives it this mysterious vibe. Mostly, it's about the berries, but the leaves really take center stage here. It's interesting how it develops, but I wouldn't call it straightforward 🍇

Oh, this scent of youth. It used to seem sweet and fruity, but now the flowers and fruits are somehow on the same level. All in all, it hasn't lost its relevance, even for... well, let's say, more mature ladies. But, honestly, only when the mood strikes )

This fragrance sometimes envelops you, then seems to disappear, then reappears with an elegant sillage - just incredible! I'm sure I'll pick it again soon 🌟

Too many scents for my taste. They seem to just mix together, creating chaos, and don't let me enjoy a single note. I feel some sharp and unnatural note that spoils the whole impression. In the end, it just didn't work out for me with this perfume. I sold it and, honestly, I don't regret it 😕

First and, hopefully, last fragrance from Mexx. Once, out of boredom, I decided to try it and immediately fell in love. But this infatuation quickly passed, only some kind of friendship remained. The fragrance, of course, is universal, but it doesn't evoke any emotions. I only smell blackcurrant and peony, and that's it. No depth, only harshness and heaviness. I don't know why wear it if it gets boring so quickly

Gosh, this fragrance is definitely on the sweet side, but not vulgar. The sweetness here isn't cloying, it's more like a warm hug. It's calm, refined, yet restrained at the same time. Its warmth just envelops you, creating such a cozy vibe, but something's missing for it to truly hook me

This fragrance is a complete disappointment. No bitterness at all, just boredom. For the office? Nah, better off without it. I don't get how anyone can love it 😤

The scent brings on nostalgia, it's balanced and lovely. Blackcurrant is definitely front and center here. You can feel it doesn't push too hard, but rather just quietly whispers about itself 🍇

I expected the scent to be floral, but the bottle surprised me a little. The fruits are certainly not bad, but for me, they are too sweet and velvety. Overall, it's clearly an oriental scent, but more fruity than floral 🍏
