Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Maaroof unfolds as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Nabeel comes through in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail.

In the first seconds you sense delicate floral opening notes: Apricot, Chamomile, Clove and Honey.

In the central layer you detect Ambergris, Frankincense, Iris, Jasmine, Saffron and Wormwood holding a silky white floral direction. In the final layer the line is anchored through Benzoin, Cedar, Labdanum, Leather accord, Oud and Patchouli, extending a deep woody trail.

The accord architecture is built around these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Gourmet and Floral with each one in a clear role. Additional accords such as Fruit, Musc, Wood and Powdery add depth to the backdrop.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Fruit, Floral, Sweet and Citrus. The palette also extends to Earthy / Mossy, Gourmet, Ambery and Balsamic.

In summary Maaroof reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail. These are the scent structures best experienced through real development.

I only liked it in what remained after I washed off all that intrusive sweetness. That's when you get the scent of apricot jam with a pit or almonds in honey. But as soon as you apply it, it becomes too cloying, even bright citruses don't save it from this nonsense

First you smell harsh lemons, so nasty and sour, then suddenly some dry chamomile pops up. And then this floral chaos begins with bitter wormwood that just crushes your brain. Wormwood clearly dominates here, the bitterness is just off the charts. I tried to catch apricot, but as soon as you change the temperature, only oud appears, and that's it 😤
