Мэр Вечерний Новая Заря arrived in 1997 — and it was immediately clear this one was here to stay. This is a masculine fragrance rooted in the chypre and wood families. From the Мэр collection; released as eau de toilette.

The composition of novaya-zarya-mer-vechernii is built as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of novaya-zarya is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette supports the right density and pace of development.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Spicy, Citrus, Floral and Wood. The framework further includes Earthy / Mossy and Musk.

At the opening of the pyramid you sense piquant warm opening notes: Caraway, Grapefruit and honeysuckle.

At the core of development you notice Cedar and Sandalwood carrying a structural woody direction.

The accord profile rests on these accords: Citrus, Fruit, Musc and Wood without random overlap. Additional accords such as Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The profile is masculine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In longevity terms Very low indicates a stable lasting impression.

The scent isn't bad overall, but it's quite watery. Citrus and bergamot really stand out, and woody moss adds interest. However, the synthetic notes are too strong, which, of course, lowers its value. The longevity also leaves much to be desired. In the end, I'd give it a three

This version, in my opinion, is almost the same as the classic "Mayor". The intensity is felt, there's a bit of tartness, and also a slight sweetness 🌟
