Otoori Hide And Seek: An Oriental Fairy Tale in Search of Yourself

Imagine standing at the entrance to a mysterious garden, where citrus trees intertwine with blooming jasmine and rose bushes.

That is exactly the feeling evoked by Hide And Seek, a unisex fragrance by the Dubai-based brand Otoori, launched in 2016.

It is an eau de parfum belonging to the chypre and floral fragrance families.

The scent is equally beautiful on both women’s and men’s skin, while its very strong sillage leaves an air of mystery in your wake.

A Play of Contrasts: From Citrusy Freshness to Woody Depth

Hide And Seek is a story of balance. The top notes burst with the juicy sweetness of mandarin, orange, and bergamot, accented by delicate orange blossom.

The heart is a luxurious bouquet of jasmine, rose, mimosa, and ylang-ylang. The base is sensual and warm, with patchouli, vetiver, vanilla, tonka bean, and white musk.

This is a fragrance that unfolds gradually, as though playing with your sense of smell.

For Whom and When: Your Perfect Fragrance

Hide And Seek is the perfect choice for evening occasions when you want to be the center of attention while still remaining a mystery.

Thanks to its warm woody-floral base, it is especially beautiful in cooler weather, during autumn and winter.

It is versatile enough for both a romantic date and a business meeting, leaving a pleasant impression behind.

If you are looking for a fragrance with character that will not get lost in the crowd, consider Attar Collection The Golden Age or Chanel Coco Mademoiselle—they share a similar mood, yet each is unique.

The Secret of Oriental Charm

Otoori is a brand that blends the traditions of Oriental perfumery with contemporary trends. Hide And Seek is no exception: it smells luxurious without feeling heavy.

The fragrance seems to invite you to play hide-and-seek with reality, offering moments of pleasure and self-expression. It is perfect for those who are not afraid to stand out and who appreciate quality.

Description of the composition

The composition of Hide And Seek is built on contrasts. The top notes—juicy mandarin, sweet orange, refreshing bergamot, and delicate orange blossom—create a bright, sparkling opening.

At its heart, a bouquet of jasmine, rose, mimosa, and ylang-ylang blooms, while the base envelops you in the warmth of patchouli, vetiver, vanilla, tonka bean, and white musk.

This trail lingers with you for a long time, revealing new facets with every passing hour.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

A true chypre that evokes mixed feelings. Complex, yet at the same time too intrusive, as if trying to attract attention at any cost. Ylang-ylang clearly dominates here, and a honey note adds a certain roughness. This fragrance seems too mature and even a bit aggressive, as if screaming about its status, but it's not always appropriate 😔
