Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Jasmin is shaped as a living composition, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Stephanie de Bruijn - Parfum Sur Mesure is evident in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum sets the right density and pace of development.

The internal accord map is shaped by these accords: Floral, Musc and Powdery forming a compact and readable structure. The profile is feminine, which clarifies the composition character.

At the opening of the pyramid you detect fresh floral first notes: Iris and Jasmine.

When the opening settles you meet Heliotrope and ylang-ylang carrying a opulent floral direction. In the base the line is anchored through Musk, reinforcing a silky musky trail.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Floral, Whiteflower and Musk. From a family perspective the scent maps to Floral.

In summary Jasmin sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best experienced through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The fragrance turned out to be quite intense. Floral notes are certainly present, but they smell too dense, with a clear oriental accent, which makes it a bit old-fashioned. Ylang-ylang and jasmine clearly dominate here, creating a feeling of overload 🌸
