Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of Hikari is shaped as a continuous scent journey, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The creative approach of Pryn Parfum is recognizable in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction.

The accord profile is built around these accords: Animalistic, Aromatic, Gourmet and Floral with each one in a clear role. Secondary accord layers such as Fruit, Musc, Wood and Amber add depth to the backdrop. The profile is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In wear duration High suggests confident staying power.

Without strict stage separation the opening appears as one connected movement with a natural green mood: Ambergris, Ambrette, Ambroxan, Animalistic notes, Black currant leaf, Cashmeran and Chrysanthemum.

The middle and base stages are felt as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Ambery, Green, Animals and Musk. The framework further includes Floral, Fruit, Wood and Sweet.

Taken together Hikari sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, and the base secures the trail.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I eagerly awaited meeting Pryn Lomros' new creation and decided to sniff the sample first thing. And then, something familiar and beautiful wafted up - woody notes, perhaps sandalwood or something else. But no, it's not oud, just seemed like it! The opening of the fragrance is strange and interesting, I wouldn't call it beautiful. First, a sizzling woody note is felt, something wine-like with a slight hint reminiscent of lacquer. And yes, I caught some not-so-pleasant animalic notes that are also present. Then the woody note reappears, but this time accompanied by sake - it sounds very natural. Upon re-testing, the alcoholic note lingered on my skin for a long time, which is uncharacteristic for alcoholic notes, and even dominated for a while. It's interesting how sake sounds in perfumery. Gradually, sandalwood with a dry woody accent, reminiscent of sawdust, merges with sake, and both confidently yet peacefully lead the game. Fruity notes with a light floral accent (osmanthus) soften the dryness of the woody notes and the strangeness of the sake. As with all Pryn perfumes, the sillage here is much more beautiful and organic than the scent itself on the skin. A noble woody sillage is surrounded by delicate fruity notes. By the way, no matter how hard I tried, I didn't notice any pears or apples - apparently, my skin 'ate' them. The fruity base gradually intensifies with soft amber and sweet notes. The perfumer found the ideal dose of sweetness, adding warmth and soulfulness to the composition. Woody-sandalwood notes acquire a velvety sound. Fruity-amber sweetness comes to the forefront. The fragrance is long-lasting. A colleague, a Montale lover, walked into the huge hall and immediately became interested, asking what a wonderful, solid woody scent it was! The sillage is there, but I didn't particularly notice it. The fragrance is dedicated to Tokyo! But, to be honest
