Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Rosuerrier evolves as a continuous scent journey, where layers reveal themselves without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of Pryn Parfum comes through in the way notes appear and fade. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction.

When the pyramid is blended into one block the fragrance opens as a single chord with a warm spicy mood: Aldehydes, Ambergris, Atlas Cedar, Black Pepper, Caraway, Cashmeran and Castoreum.

The heart and base are felt as a continuous motion from lift to depth, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

The internal accord map rests on these accords: Animalistic, Balsamic, Floral and Musc with each one in a clear role. Secondary accord layers such as Wood, Amber, Spicy and Cosmetic expand the olfactory volume in the background. The gender direction is unisex, which clarifies the composition character. In longevity terms High indicates a stable lasting impression.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Fairy, Ambery, Wood and Spicy. The palette also extends to Musk, Animals, Balsamic and Whiteflower.

Overall Rosuerrier sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, and the base secures the trail.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I didn't like the Roseuerrier scent. The rose itself is beautiful, of course, but here it's simply drowned in spices. Instead of elegance, it turned into some harsh mixture that's overwhelming. The peppery notes at the start seem too intrusive, and then everything transitions into dry woody accents that resemble ash. The moss, which was supposed to add depth, turned out to be almost unnoticeable, and it smells better on clothes than on skin. In the end, despite all its facets, the scent couldn't really grab me. Its "staleness" and spices are just not for me.

By the way, the sillage is completely different - softer and airier, but still lacking something. After an hour, it changes sharply, and then I don't know what to think. The freshness of resin that appears causes bewilderment. It reminds me of something familiar, but I can't remember what exactly. Maybe Zefiro by Xerjoff, but there the frankincense with elemi sounds colder, while here rose and amber add warmth.

Overall, the perfumer's idea is interesting, but the transitions between the parts are too abrupt. The longevity is good, the sillage is pleasant, but the scent doesn't feel cohesive. Disappointed
