Perfume information

Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Bois d'Orange Eau Sublime is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Roger & Gallet is recognizable in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Fragrant mist emphasizes the right density and pace of development.

From the group perspective the composition is built around Citrus, Fruit, Whiteflower and Gourmet. It also reaches into Wood and Floral.

In the top tier you detect sparkling citrus first notes: Mandarin and Orange.

In the central layer you meet Coconut, Orange blossom and ylang-ylang carrying a creamy tuberose direction.

The accord profile is driven by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Wood without random overlap. Additional accords such as Spicy add depth to the backdrop. The gender direction is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read. For persistence Middle indicates a stable lasting impression.

Overall Bois d'Orange Eau Sublime holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best experienced in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The coconut here doesn't seem entirely natural, but rather toasted. Though, perhaps that's just my impression. But the fragrance is, without a doubt, harmonious. There's something amazing about it, all the notes seem to intertwine perfectly, like old friends who know everything about each other
