Description of the composition

The scent of No 56 evolves as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves with precision and warmth. The creative approach of Selection Excellence is clear in details that define the fragrance identity. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum sets the depth and body this composition needs.

From the group perspective the profile is anchored in Fruit, Citrus, Green and Wood. It also reaches into Whiteflower, Ambery, Earthy / Mossy and Musk. At family level the fragrance belongs to Fern and Fruit.

At the opening of the pyramid you detect sweet-fresh fruity opening notes: Apple, Bergamot, Birch leaf and Orange.

In the central layer you notice Apple, Birch leaf, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley and Vetiver holding a silky white floral direction.

The internal accord map is built around these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Musc with each one in a clear role. Secondary accord layers such as Wood and Amber add depth to the backdrop. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived.

In summary No 56 sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best judged in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The smell is somehow cold and resinous, with patchouli and green leaves. It's unisex, but it smells like someone decided to stuff it with soap and obtrusiveness. The herbal notes are barely audible, and there are no citrus notes at all. Horrible! 😤
