Sergio Tacchini Precious Purple: a fragrance that embodies dreams

In 2012, the world of perfumery was enriched by a vibrant release — the eau de toilette Sergio Tacchini Precious Purple.

This feminine fragrance joined the Precious collection, highlighting the winner's spirit and elegance inherent to the brand.

Founded by a legendary Italian tennis player, Sergio Tacchini embodies style and dynamism, reflected in every bottle.

Precious Purple belongs to the Floral family, offering a fresh and rich bouquet.

Inspired by the purple color, symbolizing fulfilled dreams and positive emotions, it is perfectly suited for young, dynamic women whose beauty is just blossoming.

The eau de toilette concentration provides a medium sillage, making it versatile for daily wear.

It is not too intrusive but expressive enough to leave a pleasant impression, ideal for spring and summer days, as well as for casual meetings or office environments.

The fragrance composition skillfully blends fresh, floral, and warm notes, creating a multifaceted character.

From the initial vivacity to the stable base, Precious Purple unfolds gradually, offering an intriguing and not overly bright sound.

Description of the composition

Note Pyramid of Sergio Tacchini Precious Purple

The Precious Purple composition begins with a playful burst of freshness: bergamot offers citrusy vitality, ginger adds a spicy touch, and green apple brings fruity juiciness.

At the heart of the fragrance, a delicate bouquet blossoms: jasmine lends exotic depth, peony wraps in romantic softness, and water lily creates an aquatic coolness.

The base completes the composition with warm and enduring notes: ambergris adds sensuality, white cedar provides woody stability, and musk anchors the scent, making it long-lasting and enveloping.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. It smells kind of strange, peony and apple, but not in a cool way. Freshness, yes, but it quickly dissipates, leaving only disappointment. The bottle is cute, of course, but that doesn't save the situation. The fragrance is too light, barely noticeable, as if it's not even there 😒

The floral scent is certainly delicate, but when I looked at the pyramid, I realized it wasn't lilac, but something else. It lacks freshness, as if the flowers have wilted. The scent is too floral, I don't smell any fruits at all, as if they were never there. It projects, yes, but outdoors it doesn't help, and on the hand it lasts even after washing - which isn't always a plus. Overall, not impressed, I can't say it's anything worthwhile 😒

If you use a little imagination, you can catch a crisp, juicy apple. But if you don't delve into the details, it's just a fresh fruity scent, like any other fragrance 🍏

The apples are bright, and the water lily is watery, combined with a lingering jasmine. The scent is light and balanced. It smells pleasant, although it's not exactly what I usually like 🍏

The scent, honestly, isn't impressive. It's summery, fruity-floral, but it has a somewhat sour feeling. Apples, peony, and water lily - sounds nice, but in reality, it's just a sharp cocktail that quickly disappears. Longevity leaves much to be desired, and the sillage is barely noticeable. I don't know who might like this, but it's definitely not for me

A more fruity and intense version than the previous one. Against the background of floral notes, many sour apples are felt, but they sound somewhat rough. Honestly, it didn't work for me because the water lily stands out too much

This fragrance is watery, of course, but not in the sense that it's fresh. Rather, it's like someone poured water into a flower pot and forgot about it. The flowers are here, yes, but they seem to float in this murky liquid instead of delighting with their scent. All that sweet pollen, which should be warm and sensual, actually only causes irritation. The fragrance seems light, but instead of fading into lightness, it presses down on you with its earthy heaviness 😤

The eau de toilette is nice, of course, but it shouldn't be overestimated. There's freshness, but its character is somewhat intrusive. Apple with ginger, yes, that's bright, but then some unbearable mix of flowers begins - jasmine, peony, lily. All of it merges into one mess, and it only gets worse from there. The base, by the way, lasts long, but the sillage is such that you just want to run away. Overall, not impressed. HORROR!
