Fragrance information:

In 2020, Shakira introduced S Sugar — a fragrance that's hard to forget. A feminine fragrance rooted in the floral, fruit, and sweet families. The fragrance belongs to the floral, fruit, and gourmet groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of musk and sweet can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. From the S by Shakira collection; released as eau de toilette.

It carries a moderate sillage, leaving a trail that lingers pleasantly in the air. Apply 2-3 sprays to skin and 3-4 sprays to fabric for best results. In terms of longevity, it sits at moderate — long enough to make a real impression. Country of origin — the United States. S Sugar Shakira unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of S Sugar is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The style of Shakira is evident from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette emphasizes a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Floral, Fruit, Gourmet and Musk. It also reaches into Sweet, Citrus, Wood and Whiteflower.

In the first seconds you sense vibrant berry top notes: Bergamot, Cherry, Raspberry and Strawberry.

When the opening settles you sense Hawthorn, Iris and Rose keeping a opulent floral direction.

The accord profile rests on these accords: Citrus, Gourmet, Floral and Fruit forming a compact and readable structure. Secondary accord layers such as Musc, Powdery and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which clarifies the composition character. In wear duration Middle suggests confident staying power.

In summary S Sugar holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I was expecting berries, but I got some sweet syrup with roses and vanilla instead. Total nonsense, what a disappointment! 😤

Kinda weird pyramid, to be honest. There are a lot of berries, of course, but this almond note doesn't make me happy at all. I don't know when I'll decide to try it, but so far, not impressed

The fragrance isn't bad, but I won't buy it for myself. It's more suitable for young girls. It has a hint of rose with raspberry, although it's actually more of a berry mix than true raspberry. At first, it seems bright and light, but then it unfolds like a berry powder, or maybe it's just dusty musk here

Raspberry, cherry, strawberry. Why mix all this in one bottle? I wonder what will come of it. I think it would have been better to choose one thing as a base, instead of trying to combine everything at once
