The perfume Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum, released in 1998, is a sweet ode to an Eastern dessert — Turkish delight.

This fragrance was born in the house of Keiko Mecheri, founded by perfumer Keiko Mecheri and her husband, where Japanese subtlety meets French chic.

Loukhoum is part of the Orientals collection, emphasizing its rich and exotic character, which has made it iconic in the world of niche perfumery.

Fragrance Pyramid and Its Development

The top notes open with a rare chord of Hawthorn, bringing light freshness and uniqueness.

In the heart of the composition, sweet Almond, delicate Floral Notes, and passionate Rose are intertwined, creating a rich and warm bouquet that gradually unfolds on the skin.

The base is built on creamy Vanilla, supported by a Woody Accord and sensual Musk, providing depth and longevity.

The fragrance belongs to the Oriental and Floral families, and the note groups include Floral, Gourmand, and Musk, making it complex and multifaceted.

For Whom and How to Wear Loukhoum

This women's fragrance with a medium trail is perfect for romantic dates, evening outings, or special occasions when you want to feel mysterious and alluring.

As an eau de parfum, it has good longevity, unfolding gradually throughout the day.

It is recommended to apply it pointwise on the skin in pulse points and enter the cloud for clothing to create a light and persistent trail.

Loukhoum sounds particularly advantageous in cool seasons, autumn and winter, when its sweet and warm notes harmonize with the cozy atmosphere.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The fragrance is indeed sweet and gourmand, yet it doesn't feel cloying. It's soft and creates a cozy atmosphere. On my skin, it unfolded like an almond dessert with notes of vanilla and rose petals

This fragrance, for those who don't appreciate gourmand notes, seems too refined and sophisticated. Here you can catch the sweetness of almond cookies mixed with rose jam - it's a real joy for magic lovers. There's nothing mundane about this powder; it's as if it was created for fairy tale characters, like marzipan princesses or even the Sugar Plum Fairy herself!! It's a scent that awakens dreams and makes you believe in miracles

This fragrance is simply incredible! It reminds me of sweet Turkish delight with delicate, thinly sliced almonds. Vanilla and rose petals create an amazing bouquet that fills the atmosphere with warmth and coziness. I adore it! 🌸

The fragrance is truly impressive with its sweetness, but it doesn't become cloying. Almond and rose combine beautifully here, creating a unique atmosphere. The sweetness is reminiscent of oriental desserts, but at the same time, it's something more. The bottle, by the way, is also unusual for me, which adds interest to this perfume. But, despite all the pros, there remains a certain bitterness, as if something is left unsaid

Sweet, powdery, almondy - for gourmands. Longevity is amazing, lasts forever. Comforting, with a hint of rose, powdery like baby powder. But on a blotter it doesn't open like on skin. On the body, all the beauty reveals. How disappointing when expectations don't match reality

The almond cookie at the beginning is really pleasing, but then it turns into some cheap body lotion with an unbearable coconut scent. I really don't understand how Bertrand Duchaufour could create something like this! I've tried it several times, but each time it's a heavy, oily rose and a nasty coconut that just drives me crazy

Finally, I tried this fragrance! Honestly, I was worried it would be too sweet. But no, it's sweet, but not vulgarly cloying. For me, it's associated with almond - you can clearly smell almond notes and a slight bitterness. It smells like almond crumbs with milk. In my opinion, there's very little vanilla. Maybe there's something of oriental sweets in it, but it's more like cookies or baklava, where there isn't too much honey and sweetness, but lots of almonds and delicious dough. These are definitely not those cloying oriental sweets sold in boxes that are hard to stop eating. If you listen closely, you can also catch a hint of coconut flakes. I wore it in the evening - it's perfect for home and sleep, creating coziness and pleasantly soothing
