The fragrance is truly amazing, it skillfully combines seemingly incompatible notes. Basil and vanilla - that's not so common in perfumery. However, for such a price, I would expect a more lasting effect

I feel that vanilla clearly dominates here, and herbs create an interesting background. There's some bitterness, but it doesn't spoil it; on the contrary, it adds charm. This fragrance seems to embody a woman who is ready to fight, and at the same time, it creates a special atmosphere

This perfume, in my opinion, unfolds especially well in summer heat. It smells much softer, but it's important to remember to use it in minimal doses. Considering Sylvaine Delacourte's experience at Guerlain, you can notice that the vanilla in her fragrances really resembles what we know from Guerlain. And the top notes of Valkyrie evoke associations with Shalimar Cologne by Guerlain, which is certainly pleasing. I cherish this fragrance, it's really worth paying attention to! )))

Some kind of fresh scent with vanilla and animalic notes, but in reality, it's just overloaded. This cold wind from the north, which is supposed to be a contrast, only gets in the way. The vanillin here is sweet, of course, but it's like it's trying to suffocate all other notes. Bergamot and lime at the beginning sound too harsh, and this green bitterness only adds discomfort. In the end, you get something that tries to seem complex but is actually just muddled. No vintage feel, just old perfumery trying to be fashionable. Honestly, it reminds me of something from Guerlain, but not in a good way. Overall, I don't know what kind of heroine this is for, but I don't like it 😒

In 2018, Sylvaine Delacourte released a collection dedicated to the vanilla note, consisting of five fragrances. Each of them reveals this important ingredient in its own way. But Valkyrie particularly stands out - it's so rich and deep, with bright citrus and light aromatic vanilla notes. This composition breaks out of conventional frameworks and classifications. Valkyrie, created by Maurice Roucel, combines the familiar and the unexpected, and it will be pleasing not only to its wearer but also to those around them 😔

After several skin tests, I noticed that this fragrance slightly resembles Shalimar. By the way, I have a vintage version, so I haven't compared it to the new one. If it weren't for this similarity, I would definitely buy it. The citrus notes here are simply magnificent, with a slight bitterness that gives them a special charm
