Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Creation de Minuit evolves as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Ted Lapidus is clear from the opening to the final trail. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de toilette keeps the right density and pace of development.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Citrus, Fruit, Floral and Whiteflower. The framework further includes Musk, Gourmet and Wood. Within olfactory families the scent maps to Floral and Fruit.

In the top tier you meet sweet-fresh fruity top notes: Bergamot, Green Apple and blackberry.

At the core of development you meet Cactus Flower, Heliotrope, Rose and ylang-ylang carrying a opulent floral direction.

The accord architecture is built around these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Musc without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Wood and Spicy expand the olfactory volume in the background.

Taken together Creation de Minuit sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best judged on skin.

The black version is simply a treasure I don't want to share, so the scent remains only mine. It's like a thick jam of blackberries and plums, with some watery freshness in the background and a sweet, slightly creamy cloud. The berries here, of course, add youthfulness and playfulness, but the floral sweetness makes it simply languid. Overall, the fragrance is very worthy. A true beauty!

The scent evokes conflicting feelings. Berries and oriental flowers should seemingly sound fresh, but in reality, it turns out to be too dense and warm. Roundness and femininity are present in it, but this heaviness, though pleasant, weighs on the soul. In the end, a bitter aftertaste remains, as if something important has slipped away ))))
