Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Baccarat Rouge is something that leaves me completely baffled. All the hype around it is beyond me. For me, it's just sweetish and resinous, as if someone decided to bury flowers under stones and suffocate them. Saffron, oud, and patchouli with that bitter moss simply kill all the freshness!! I don't understand how anyone can be so enthusiastic about this fragrance

This version of Baccarat Rouge 540 looks quite intelligent, but in reality, it's just something else. From the very first sniff, you can tell it's not the original, but some pale copy. Wearing Baccarat is tough, and even here, with a less pronounced iodine accent, it doesn't save the situation. I just can't understand why this is even necessary 😒

Hey there, perfume fanatics and niche fragrance lovers! Here's my take on the In Amore composition from Paolo Terenzi's DiVina Terra collection. At first, it smells of something wild, and then this sweetish, yet quite rich scent with marine notes emerges. The sweetness, by the way, doesn't let go, and at some point, it starts to make your head spin. The author, of course, says it's the scent of youth and first feelings, but for me, it's more like powdery cotton candy. Yes, sometimes it reminds me of Baccarat Rouge, but here there's no chemical harshness, but something more delicate. Love, as we know, comes in many forms, and it is love, according to the author, that will save the world! ))

What's up with this Baccarat Rouge 540 nonsense? Mushrooms and hot copper? It's strange, for sure, but not exactly pleasant. What was Paolo Terenzi thinking with this super bestseller from Maison Francis Kurkdjian? First, he removed the sweetness, leaving only what's truly necessary. In Amore doesn't smell like those caramel bits many compare Baccarat Rouge to. Second, he made evernyl resemble oakmoss, adding some damp, mushroomy, and balsamic notes. Third, he didn't overload the formula with amber, so now it smells calmer, not like a chainsaw at full blast. And finally, Paolo added a drop of iodine to the medicinal saffron hint to create the sensation of hot metal with its powdery-mineral scent. The result, in my opinion, is quite interesting. I get that some people might like it and want to wear it. But what I don't get is how many more interpretations and copies of "Baccarat" people need. When will enough be enough? In Amore looks like a decent final stop
