Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Laconia is built as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Tom Daxon comes through in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum emphasizes the right density and pace of development.

The olfactory framework is shaped by these accords: Aromatic, Aquatic, Citrus and Floral without random overlap. Background accords such as Wood, Spicy and Mineral expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

In the top tier you sense sparkling citrus opening notes: Bergamot, Lemon, Mandarin and Orange.

In the heart you detect Aquatic accord, Jasmine, Mint and Violet leaf carrying a pure salt direction.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Citrus, Mineral, Whiteflower and Aromatic. The palette also extends to Green, Spicy, Wood and Aquatic. At family level the fragrance belongs to Citrus and Water.

Taken together Laconia reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best understood through real development.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Laconia is a fragrance for those who find Vetiver Extraordinaire too rich and chypre. In terms of composition, it almost completely repeats its predecessor but appears significantly younger and lighter. Although stylistically they differ. The opening of both compositions is similar - citrusy.

In Vetiver Extraordinaire, bergamot dominates, while in Laconia, mandarin is added, giving it a touch of sweetness and fruitiness. Next, a salty-floral note unfolds, similar to Frédéric Malle's, based on jasmine and lily of the valley, but without geranium. The mandarin from the top note smoothly transitions into the heart, dissolving into subtle nuances of orange. In contrast, Vetiver Extraordinaire is cold and more reminiscent of a Scandinavian style, more English than a Tom Daxon fragrance.

The vetiver in Laconia is lighter and almost non-smoky, although the overall impression is similar to Vetiver Extraordinaire. To summarize, Laconia could have been a summer flanker in Malle's collection with an "Eau Fraiche" label. But it lacks accents and clear boundaries. The most famous perfume publisher doesn't do that; clarity of form is important to them

This perfume features bright citrus notes, woody accents, a slight saltiness, and many shades of vetiver. It smells fresh and cool! A truly masculine scent that delights! 🌟

If you love citrus notes with a light aquatic freshness, then this perfume is definitely for you. It differs from many sweet and spicy fragrances that women usually choose. Here, there's a rich vetiver base, which gives it freshness rather than cloying sweetness
