Fragrance information:

Meet Tom Daxon Vachetta, a fragrance that reimagines classic leather with British elegance.

Created in 2013, it became one of the gems of the debut collection from the London niche house Tom Daxon.

This unisex composition will appeal to connoisseurs of refined, smoky, and warm accords.

History and Philosophy

Tom Daxon is a contemporary British perfume house founded in 2013. The brand embraces minimalism and clarity of expression, using only the finest ingredients.

Vachetta was created by three perfumers: Carla Chabert, Jacques Chabert, and the brand’s founder himself, Tom Daxon.

The result of their collaboration is a leather fragrance with a modern, aristocratic character.

Character and Sillage

Vachetta is an eau de parfum with a noticeable sillage. The fragrance belongs to the Leather family and is perfectly suited to both men and women (unisex).

It opens with refined leather, seasoned with spices and a hint of tea smoke—an ideal choice for cool days and evening outings.

For Whom and When

This fragrance will be appreciated by lovers of complex, understated yet long-lasting compositions. Vachetta works beautifully in the office, at business meetings, and in cosy restaurants.

It does not demand attention, yet leaves a memorable impression. Thanks to its unisex character, it makes an excellent gift for someone with impeccable taste.

Description of the composition

The olfactory pyramid of Tom Daxon Vachetta is built around a leather accord. Top notes of cardamom, coriander, and nutmeg create a spicy, invigorating opening.

At the heart, lapsang souchong takes center stage—a smoky tea paired with guaiac wood and delicate jasmine.

The base features a leather accord and musk, creating a velvety, warm, and long-lasting trail.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The scent is rich in spices, with wood and jasmine noticeable. This flower is truly subtle and delicate, sounding very elegant. Overall, the smell is soft and delicate. But, in my opinion, it's more unisex
