About Valeur Absolue Sensualité

In 2013, the world of niche perfumery gained another precious gem: Valeur Absolue Sensualité.

This unisex fragrance, created by renowned perfumer Pierre Negrin, embodies the philosophy of the house of Valeur Absolue—a pursuit of absolute value and sensual emotion.

The fragrance belongs to the floral, musky, and woody families and is an eau de parfum.

Character and Scent

Sensualité is a delicate yet deep fragrance that unfolds with a soft, velvety trail. Its subtle projection makes it ideal for close encounters and intimate moments.

The composition is built on a contrast of freshness and warmth: a sparkling citrus note intertwines with spice, while sensual white flowers bloom at its heart.

A base of amber, cedar, and musk leaves a long-lasting, enveloping impression reminiscent of the gentle touch of a summer breeze.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. Sounds really feminine. Jasmine with rose and a hint of pepper create an interesting composition. The beauty of this fragrance is its unobtrusiveness! It's almost not sweet, but it draws attention. I'd say it's not quite for very young girls

This fragrance turned out to be too intense for me. They definitely overdid it with the jasmine here, and the powder with white pepper adds a certain heaviness. At first, it seems light, but after a while, it starts to feel oppressive and cause discomfort

Jasmine tea, sweet and salty, with a powder of spices, but the DNA isn't felt. An interesting scent, but to understand it, you need to smell it many times. You'll have to decide if you need it or not, and it's not that simple 😔
