In 2019, Viktor & Rolf introduced Flowerbomb Pink Chrome — a fragrance that's hard to forget. By character, a feminine fragrance drawing from the east and floral families. This fragrance is the result of a creative collaboration between Olivier Polge, Carlos Benaïm, Dominique Ropion, and Domitille Michalon-Bertier. Part of the Flowerbomb collection, available as eau de parfum.

Country of origin — the Netherlands. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Description of the composition

The composition of Flowerbomb Pink Chrome evolves as a continuous scent journey, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The style of Viktor & Rolf comes through in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum sets the depth and body this composition needs.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Citrus, Floral, Green and Whiteflower. It also reaches into Wood, Musk and Gourmet. From a family perspective the scent maps to East and Floral.

From the first breath you sense invigorating sunny top notes: Bergamot, Osmanthus and Tea.

When the opening settles you meet Freesia, Jasmine Sambac, Orange blossom, Orchid and Rose holding a harmonious floral direction.

The accord architecture rests on these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Musc without random overlap. Additional accords such as Wood add depth to the backdrop. The gender direction is feminine, which clarifies the composition character.

Taken together Flowerbomb Pink Chrome reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the central phase adds depth, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.
Sillage
Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

This shiny bottle with a pomegranate again. I haven't seen such shimmering bottles here yet. Maybe we won't see them at all. The pyramid, alas, remained without any novelties 😒

The bottle color, of course, is nothing special, just another snowflake! Rose with osmanthus and bergamot - that's already utterly cliché. Sweetness and depth with patchouli - who needs that? It sounds somehow too intrusive and loud, really grating on the ears. Nothing new, just another luxury blah-blah 😒
