Identity and Release History

In 2017, Zarkoperfume Stratus emerged on the perfume scene, a versatile fragrance that quickly captured the attention of niche perfume enthusiasts.

This release came under the auspices of the Danish brand Zarkoperfume, founded in 2014 by visionary Zarko Ahlmann Pavlov, and is part of its famous Cloud Collection, inspired by atmospheric phenomena.

Stratus, which translates to "layered clouds," reflects the brand's philosophy – to create fragrances that, like weather, change and surprise, offering a multifaceted experience.

Zarkoperfume, as a Danish perfume phenomenon, strives for innovation and artistic expression, often combining unexpected notes to create unique compositions.

Stratus became part of this tradition, enhancing the brand's reputation as an experimenter in the world of woody and aromatic fragrances.

Its release in 2017 marked a new stage in Zarkoperfume's development, bringing fresh ideas to the niche segment.

Positioning and Character

Stratus is positioned as a unisex fragrance, making it ideal for any gender seeking complex yet accessible perfumery.

In the format of perfume water, it offers balanced intensity, and its medium trail ensures a noticeable but not intrusive presence – you leave behind a light, memorable trace.

This fragrance particularly shines in cool seasons, such as autumn and spring, when its woody-aromatic chords harmonize with nature, but it is also suitable for everyday wear or special occasions thanks to its versatility.

Stratus is known for its compliment-getting ability – it often receives positive reviews for its refinement and ability to adapt to individual skin chemistry.

Although data on exact dosage on skin and clothing is lacking, the general recommendation is to apply 2-3 sprays to pulse points for optimal development.

Unlike many fragrances, Stratus has no alternative concentrations, making it a unique offering in the Zarkoperfume lineup.

Authorship and Influence

The creator of Stratus is Zarko Ahlmann Pavlov, the founder of the brand Zarkoperfume, whose style is characterized by bold experiments with materials and deep immersion in natural themes.

His work on this fragrance demonstrates the ability to combine seemingly incompatible elements, such as marine and woody notes, creating a harmonious whole.

Pavlov, as a designer and visionary, infuses each perfume with a philosophical subtext, making Stratus not just a fragrance, but a narrative about cloud layers and variability.

Stratus significantly influenced the perception of the Zarkoperfume brand, strengthening its position as an innovator in niche perfumery.

This fragrance reflects the brand's DNA – the pursuit of artistry, sustainability, and emotional connection, attracting an audience that values depth and originality.

Through Stratus, Zarkoperfume confirmed its ability to create universal, yet distinctive compositions that resonate with a global audience.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of Zarkoperfume Stratus is built on a blend of five key notes, which intertwine without a clear division into top, middle, and base notes, creating a holistic and dynamic fragrance.

The foundation consists of dry wood and leather accord, which provide depth and structure, evoking cool, windy days.

Jasmine adds floral tenderness and light sweetness, balancing with the mineral freshness of sea salt, creating a sensation of a breeze over the ocean.

The fruity note of sea buckthorn weaves in subtle tartness and vitamin brightness, uniting all elements into a harmonious bouquet that evolves on the skin, unfolding from fresh, salty tones to warm, woody-leathery shades.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

This fragrance didn't impress me. On the skin, it smells like artificial fruity notes with a slight woody undertone. In the middle, I clearly detect salty nuances. When I first sprayed it, the scent reminded me of ice cream), but over time that note disappeared. Honestly, while wearing it, I had a feeling of vagueness, that's how I would describe it. In the base, there are also woody notes, but they sound synthetic (perhaps someone might perceive them as a leather accord). The excessive synthetic quality annoys me a bit, it smells somewhat dirty. Apologies in advance to those who love this fragrance. It's just my opinion )

I can't disagree that the declared notes are hard to catch. I haven't tried each phase separately, but in the mixed version, it reminds me of a fresh fruity scent with a slight tartness. I don't smell jasmine, and I don't hear any leather or salt at all. It sounds very interesting, though

Sea buckthorn attracted me, but it's not here. Instead, there are apricots, like jam, and tobacco with woody notes. Dried fruits that are hard to identify, and a hint of leather. In the end, it turned out to be something dusty and sweetish, a bit overwhelming, but not for long, the longevity isn't impressive 😕

The fragrances are truly impressive with their design, it's just a discovery! I got so carried away with it, like I was a kid again. As for the scent itself, it's not bad either: I can feel sea buckthorn, woody notes, and jasmine. The longevity is good, and the sillage is also pleasing

Today I got acquainted with this fragrance. The consultant explained that you can first use one top "phase", and then, as you use it, the second half will reveal a different scent. But if you mix everything, you get a completely new perfume. I didn't mix it, and my nose caught sea buckthorn, something floral, and, it seems, woody notes. After mixing, it became more woody, sea salt is not as obvious, but something in that vein is present. Honestly, it was hard to catch the notes. An interesting concept, I must say. The fragrance is quite bright and with a slight bitterness. Suitable for both men and women 🌊

First, you can smell sea buckthorn on the blotter, but as soon as you apply it to skin or clothes, it quickly disappears. After the scent changes, it resembles Frapin 1270, with such soft spices 🌟

I really liked the combination of tart sea buckthorn with woody notes, it creates an atmosphere of nature and tranquility. Although I can't say I want to wear it myself, it still draws attention 😔
