Orange blossom in perfumery amazed me thanks to a rare creation by Dominique Ropion - And The World Is Yours by A Lab on Fire, now What We Do Is Secret. Fleur d'oranger is associated with joy and orange groves under the Mediterranean sky. But here there is something deep and dark that gives a depraved French beauty - expensive. I've tried many orange blossom scents, but none compared to Ropion, though Atlas Garden is close. Perfumers Amandine Claire-Marie and Marie Salamagne created a strange but beautiful floral-gourmand composition, the most impressive in the Oriental Collection. Like others in Le Vestiaire des Parfums, the main accord is orange blossom and tonka beans. Fleur d'oranger is a difficult theme, but the perfumers created a magnificent accord, combining the fresh scent of orange flowers with absolute, adding the sweetness of the fruit and the bitter freshness of neroli. The balance of details makes you close your eyes in pleasure. The accord is sparkling, joyful and sweetly fizzy. In contrast, they chose the smell of 'Zoological' or 'Maria' cookies. Not everyone knows them, but it's the ugliest cookie. Its aroma is dry, vanilla-dusty dough. In Atlas Garden, this smell mixes with cumin and dirty notes of orange blossom absolute. The interaction is equal, giving the composition layering and liveliness, fleur d'oranger looks even more elegant. They go to the finale together, but over time the gourmand
