In 2009, the world saw Amouage Epic Man, a men's fragrance that became part of the legendary Epic collection.
This perfume, created under the patronage of the Sultan of Oman, embodies the luxury and traditions of the East, belonging to the oriental and woody families, making it desirable for connoisseurs of complex compositions.
With a medium sillage and eau de parfum concentration, Epic Man is perfect for men seeking a confident and elegant fragrance for the evening or special occasions.
It unfolds gradually, offering a long-lasting resonance that highlights individuality and pairs excellently with the autumn-winter season.
This masterpiece was crafted by perfumers Christopher Chong and Randa Hammami, whose partnership brought a balance of innovation and tradition to the composition.
Their work not only enriched the Epic line but also strengthened Amouage's status as a pioneer in the world of niche perfumery, creating art-like fragrances with deep cultural undertones.
If Epic Man has captivated you, consider Salvatore Ferragamo Testa di Moro, Vince Camuto Vince Camuto Oud, and Salvatore Ferragamo Incense Suede — each offers unique interpretations of oriental and woody themes, expanding the perfumery horizon and helping to find new favorites among rich compositions.
The fragrance has medium longevity and lasts on the skin for about 5-6 hours, gradually revealing its notes and leaving a pleasant impression
It can be felt in close proximity, but does not attract the attention of those around you
The perfume has a rich aroma that will help you stand out from the crowd and create a memorable image
A rich and elegant fragrance that gently unfolds on the skin and lasts most of the day, leaving a delicate trail
Perfumes for the fall and winter seasons often contain notes of vanilla, spices, ambergris, wood, and other warm accords, creating a feeling of comfort and warmth during the cold months
The note pyramid of Epic Man begins its journey with a bright explosion of spices: caraway, cardamom, frankincense, myrtle, nutmeg, pink pepper and saffron create an intriguing and warm start, characteristic of the group of spicy notes.
In the heart, geranium and myrrh add floral tenderness and balsamic depth, smoothly transitioning to the base.
Here dominate castoreum, frankincense, leather accord, patchouli, sandalwood, styrax, white cedar and musk, finishing the composition with a long, sensual, and woody-leather trail that combines elements from the groups of woody, balsamic and leather notes, creating a multifaceted and memorable sound.

The fragrance opens with a bright accord of fresh myrtle and green geranium, with the addition of bergamot and coniferous notes. Then sweetness appears, seasoned with patchouli and saffron, with a light whisper of pink pepper. Incense and oud are subtly woven into the overall picture, creating an interesting ornament.
Over time, Epic Man changes. Nutmeg and cedar with cumin overtake geranium, and citrus notes give way to caramel shades. Incense quickly disappears, leaving behind a bouquet of spices and woody notes. A slight dustiness is felt in this fragrance, which may hint at Epic Woman with its powerful woody sound.
Amouage always creates unique pairs of fragrances, and Epic Man is no exception. Although I don't see much resemblance between Epic Man and Epic Woman, both fragrances have their own characteristics. Oud and incense in the masculine version sound less bright than in the feminine. For me, the sandalwood in Epic Man is sweeter and warmer, which makes it easier to wear.
Epic Man reminds me of The One Man by Dolce & Gabbana, especially at the beginning. Although they are not identical, there is a similarity in their sound. Amouage's feminine fragrances are usually sweeter and warmer, while masculine ones are dry and smoky. Here, however, it's the opposite: cumin and cardamom are almost unheard of, and nutmeg and saffron are balanced.
The fragrance is not sticky or fiery, but rather
