I doubt that vetiver or cedar can be detected right away. These notes appear only at the very end and are barely noticeable. If you leave the scent on a blotter for a couple of days, then maybe something will be felt. The first 30 seconds are just grass and citrus, but that's not what will stay with you long. The main notes, it seems to me, are lavender, violet leaf, tea, tobacco, and sandalwood. Tobacco and sandalwood create the illusion of cedar. The notes indicated by the manufacturer are more like a marketing ploy than a real pyramid. It's just an attempt to distinguish this fragrance from Creed and Davidoff, which are essentially very similar. First there was Creed in 1985, then Davidoff released its version, and later Bond No 9 added its interpretation
What a damn pleasant scent! Rose with peony and this sour currant - it's just awful. For summer, it's okay, of course, but I wouldn't say I'm thrilled. The musk in the base, by the way, is also not bad, doesn't bother the nose and doesn't smell like soap. But, damn, I expected more
