What happened to Amouage? Where are those beautiful developments and nuances that always surprised? Honestly, despite my love for this brand, I'm perplexed by Enclav. The scent is quite wearable, but if it were another brand, I wouldn't be surprised. But this is Amouage! Strong amberwoods in AmberExtreme overshadow all other notes. The opening reminds me of toothpaste, and the resins and leather accord are barely audible. After the drydown, somewhere in the background, I can hear rose, vetiver, and patchouli. What did Julien Rasquinet want to convey? What's the concept? A contrast of components resulted, but that's all. The idea is there, but the quality and balance leave much to be desired. Why were such frankly cheap components chosen? Bold, contrasting, but for whom? I have more questions than answers. If it were some other house, like Montale or Tiziana Terenzi, I'd understand, but Amouage has always been famous for quality and attention to detail. Where is that in Enclav? I approached the fragrance six times under different conditions, applied it to a blotter, skin, and fabric - the result is the same: what I smell and the Amouage concept don't form a coherent picture for me. But there are positive aspects - longevity. Enclav's is simply incredible: it lasts long on the skin, and on fabric, even after washing, the amberwoods are still audible )
