Introduction to the Montale Mango Manga Fragrance

Released in 2010, Montale Mango Manga is a versatile fragrance that transports you to a tropical paradise.

It is part of the Around The Fruits collection, showcasing the brand's passion for exotic fruit chords.

Based on Montale's philosophy that combines Eastern mystery with Parisian sophistication, this perfume has become a favorite among connoisseurs of unusual compositions.

Note Pyramid: A Journey from Tropical Fruits to Eastern Depth

The fragrance unfolds as a multi-layered narrative: initial notes seduce with freshness, the heart envelops with floral warmth, and the base secures with woody-oriental charm.

This dynamic evolution makes Mango Manga an exhilarating experience on the skin.

Positioning and How to Wear Mango Manga

As Eau de Parfum, Mango Manga offers balanced longevity and medium sillage, perfect for daily use.

Positioned as a unisex fragrance, it suits both men and women looking to add a touch of exoticism to their style.

For optimal effect, it is recommended to apply 1 to 2 sprays on the skin and the same amount on clothing, ensuring a soft yet noticeable presence.

Thanks to its fruity-floral opening and warm base, Mango Manga is especially good in warm seasons—spring and summer, as well as for informal meetings or leisure.

Its versatility allows it to be worn both during the day and in the evening, creating a mood of joy and energy.

Authorship and Connections of the Fragrance

The creator of this fragrance is Pierre Montale, creative director of the Montale house, whose signature is recognizable in bold oriental accents.

His work on Mango Manga strengthens the brand's reputation as a master of intense and emotional perfumes.

If you enjoyed Mango Manga, you might be interested in similar fragrances, such as Guerlain Mahora, Balmain Extatic Intense Gold and Novaya Zarya Novaya Zaria, which also explore tropical and floral themes.

Description of the composition

The Mango Manga pyramid begins with juicy top notes of mango and orange, which create an instant impression of tropical freshness and energy.

In the heart of the fragrance, a bouquet of jasmine, neroli, and ylang-ylang unfolds, adding floral tenderness and exotic charm.

The base notes, including oakmoss, oud, vetiver, and Virginia cedar, give the composition depth, warmth, and longevity, characteristic of oriental fragrances.

This combination ensures a smooth transition from bright fruitiness to refined woody-floral harmony, making each stage of development captivating.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Finally, I figured out how to wear these strange fruits correctly. Although their name isn't quite right, the concentration of mango is simply astonishing - you feel like you've landed in a pristine tropical paradise. The fragrance isn't just bright, it's like it knocks you off your feet, and then becomes softer. But the mango is already a bit rotten, or something. So it's better to apply it away from your face - the ideal place, in my opinion, is the knee area. It still sounds quite powerful, but a fresher and more beautiful composition reaches you

On me, I mostly smell mango, ylang-ylang, and oud. The fragrance is fruity, bright, and juicy, not ordinary at all, and the longevity is simply excellent 🍑

Mango combined with other fruits and oud - that's an interesting mix. The longevity, in principle, isn't bad, but on the skin, the scent quickly fades 🍑

My introduction to Montale began and, alas, ended with this fragrance. It's just a nightmare 😔 I understand that everyone has their own preferences, but for me, this combination of fruits and oud turned out to be unbearable. Everything is mixed into one big mess, bright and screaming, as if someone decided to create chaos. How can one scent push you away so strongly from an entire brand? And these bottles, resembling iron cans with clothespins, don't evoke any delight either

Oh, I'm so bewildered! I sprayed two generous spritzes on my hand and took public transport home. What can I say? It's the scent of rotten fruit, I don't know which kind exactly, but definitely not fresh. I just suffered until I washed it off. I wonder how people around me reacted!

There are a lot of bright fruits in the fragrance, especially mango, but they sound somehow strange, with an unusual aftertaste 🍑

When you smell it from an inverted bottle at Rive Gauche, it's really pleasant, especially when the fragrance has aired out a bit. But overall, oud and I don't get along. I can't say it's my favorite!!!

The fragrance begins with a bright tropical explosion, where fruity notes intertwine with floral ones. Juicy and sweet mango appears upfront, its scent is simply captivating! Then, as this note fades, I start to feel something marine - a light iodine, seaweed, and a hint of delicate gardenia. Perhaps it only seems this way to me, but that's the impression it creates. Overall, Mango Manga by Montale can definitely be classified as a fresh tropical fragrance

I bought Montale Mango Manga just out of curiosity, and now I catch myself sniffing my wrist every five minutes. It’s as if condensed milk and mango were blended together, and it’s insanely delicious 🥭

A scent that seems too bright and even intrusive. Summer fruits, yes, but they're screaming for attention rather than being delightful. The woody notes in the background create a strange feeling, like something's off. Mango definitely stands out, but its presence is too overwhelming. Overall, I can't say it brings pleasure. It just didn't grab me, leaves a bitter aftertaste

This is just a complete failure. You probably can't say it any other way. The mango here is clearly interpreted in its own way, as if this house doesn't understand how it should smell. They were unlucky with this fragrance, what else is there to add? It's completely unbalanced, at least that's how it seems to me

The opening of the fragrance is simply amazing - mango, ripe and sweet, explodes with bright notes. But then, just ten minutes pass, and all that beauty starts to disappear. The mango suddenly becomes somewhat rotten, and in its place come ylang-ylang, neroli, and woody accents. All of this sounds quite loud and monotonous, and the note of spoiled fruit starts to irritate. Honestly, it might even cause a headache ))

This is probably the most realistic mango I've ever smelled in perfumery. The sweetness and juiciness of the fruits intertwine with woody and floral notes, creating an atmosphere full of freshness. But despite all this brightness, there's something sad in the fragrance that makes you think of something fleeting

This isn't mango, but rather some kind of fruit cocktail. The scent doesn't last very long, and then it disappears, leaving behind something undefined. I definitely won't be buying a full bottle

The scent, in my opinion, is too fruity. Mango and a couple of other fruits, and that's it. I don't smell any flowers, and woody notes are also absent. It feels a bit empty
