How to change fragrances by seasons: a guide to weather and temperature

Anne-Sophie Beagle is one of the most prominent and sought-after independent perfumers in contemporary France, whose name has become synonymous with creative freedom and artistic approach in niche perfumery. Co-owner of the Flair perfume studio, she creates fragrances that don't just smell good, but tell stories, evoke emotions, and become objects of adoration for true connoisseurs.
Anne-Sophie's education began not at a perfume school, but at the Pierre and Marie Curie University, which may have given her a unique analytical perspective on creativity. Her passion for fragrances led her to the Cinquieme Sens school, where, under the guidance of legendary mentor Monique Schlinger, she mastered the basics of the art of perfumery. The valuable experience she gained at industry giants Firmenich and Symrise honed her skills, but the real breakthrough came when she decided to go her own way.
In 2012, together with her like-minded colleague Amélie Bourgeois, Anne-Sophie founded the Flair studio. This bold step became a manifesto: the main principle of their work became absolute creative freedom and collaboration exclusively with independent, ambitious brands that value originality over commercial templates.
Anne-Sophie Beagle's style is difficult to pigeonhole into a single category. She masterfully plays with contrasts, combining transparent watercolor lightness with deep, almost sculptural chord work. Her work often has an intellectual approach: the fragrances refer to music, art, and philosophical concepts, but remain incredibly sensual and wearable. She masterfully works with woody, amber, and chypre bases, but is not afraid to experiment with juicy citrus, spicy notes, and transparent florals, creating multifaceted and memorable compositions.
One of the perfumer's first and most immediately noticed works was a trilogy for the Italian brand Mendittorosa — North, Le Mat, and Id. These fragrances, released in 2014, set the bar high and demonstrated her ability to embody complex ideas in concise but powerful forms. A year later, the world saw her sensual and melancholic creations for Les Liquides Imaginaires — Lacrima and Phantasma, which became hits among connoisseurs of niche perfumery.
The list of brands that have entrusted her with the creation of their fragrances is impressive: the poetic Une Nuit Nomade, the rebellious Room 1015, the exquisite Parfumerie Particuliere, and many others. Her fruitful collaboration with the Alexandre.J brand deserves special attention, for which she co-authored almost all of the compositions for the Atelier d'Artistes and Ethnique collections.
Among her most popular and talked-about creations are the sunny Flamenco Nèroli, the sparkling Pomelo Fizz for Comptoir Sud Pacifique, and the exquisite Checkmate for P. Frapin & Cie Parfums. Each of her fragrances is a topic of discussion, high praise, and endless debate in the perfume community.
Anne-Sophie Beagle belongs to a generation of perfumers who have redefined the concept of niche perfumery. Her work bridges the gap between art and craft, between concept and emotion. Without formal training in perfumery, she has proven that talent, courage, and loyalty to one's vision are what matter most. Today, her fragrances for houses such as Mendittorosa, Les Liquides Imaginaires, P. Frapin & Cie Parfums, and many others are considered cult classics and are on the must-try list of any passionate perfume lover.
