The success was resounding, and two years later, a women's version, New West for Her, was released. Together with Davidoff's Cool Water, released in the same year, New West set the trend for marine notes for a whole decade.

While working at the Mane perfume company, Tanguy created a number of other memorable compositions. These include the sensual Intoxication d'Amour for D'Orsay and the elegant Anne Klein II for the Anne Klein brand.
