Atelier Cologne Mimosa Indigo: A Fragrance Journey into the World of Elegance

Immerse yourself in the world of Atelier Cologne with the fragrance Mimosa Indigo, released in 2016.

This French niche brand, founded in 2009, reimagined the classic cologne, and Mimosa Indigo from the Carte Blanche collection became a bright embodiment of its philosophy — courage, elegance, and versatility.

As a unisex fragrance, it invites both women and men to discover the multifaceted composition that smoothly transitions from sunny citrus to sensual leather and a warm base.

Its cologne concentration ensures a light and fresh sound, ideal for daily wear, and a faintly perceptible trail makes it delicate and unobtrusive, like a whisper of memories.

Who is Mimosa Indigo Created For?

This fragrance is created for connoisseurs of complex yet harmonious scents who seek more than just perfume — a true emotional journey.

It is perfectly suited for spring and summer days, invigorating with citrus notes, but also warms up on cool evenings thanks to oriental and powdery accents from the Oriental, Floral, and Powdery families.

To enjoy its subtleties, we recommend from 1 to 2 sprays on the skin for natural development and from 1 to 2 on clothing to extend longevity, maintaining a balance between lightness and depth.

The Master Behind the Fragrance: Jérôme Epinette

The creative soul of Mimosa Indigo is the famous perfumer Jérôme Epinette, whose talent brought harmony between floral, oriental, and leather notes to the composition.

His work reflects the DNA of Atelier Cologne, combining traditional techniques with modern interpretations, making the fragrance not only recognizable but also influential in the world of niche perfumery.

Description of the composition

Composition Structure: The Magic of Notes from Start to Finish

The fragrance pyramid of Mimosa Indigo begins with a bright explosion of top notes: Calabrian bergamot and mandarin offer juicy citrus freshness, accentuated by spicy saffron, creating an energetic and invigorating opening.

In the heart of the composition, a sensual harmony unfolds: leather accord adds sophisticated depth, while lilac and mimosa from the Floral group bring delicate floral sweetness, smoothly intertwining into a luxurious bouquet.

The base of the fragrance envelops with a warm trail: sandalwood from the Woody group provides a soft woody foundation, vanilla from the Gourmet notes adds a sweet tenderness, and musk concludes the composition with a long-lasting and cozy resonance, leaving an unforgettable trace.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

There's a wonderful leather note here that harmonizes beautifully with mimosa and violet flowers. A very soft and captivating scent. It makes you want to give a compliment, the longevity is simply impressive, and the sillage leaves a pleasant aftertaste

Unfortunately, I didn't find a solo mimosa here. Instead, mimosa and lilac are blended, and they're quite delicate. But saffron and leather clearly stand out, especially in the base. The result is a fragrance with a light floral touch and a soft leather foundation 🌸

The fragrance turned out light and airy, with floral-suede notes. Mandarin and bergamot are felt at the beginning, but they soon recede, giving way to spring flowers - mimosa and lilac. Suede with saffron adds an interesting tartness, creating an overall mood. It's truly feminine and elegant, and its intimacy gives it a special charm. The longevity of the fragrance is impressive

For me, this fragrance is primarily associated with leather, it has a delicate powdery-floral nuance and spicy vanilla. There's a sweetness in the sillage, and it's quite long-lasting, I really loved this perfume 😍

The fragrance opens with the bright freshness of mandarin and bergamot, as well as spicy notes of saffron. The scent of blue mimosa, which became the name of the fragrance, surprises with its silkiness and subtlety, perfectly combining with the aroma of white leather. Light spicy nuances of lilac evoke raindrops bringing freshness. In the finale, velvety sandalwood and the sweetness of vanilla are felt, completing the composition with musk 🌼

Mimosa with lilac on a leather base, saffron and musk clearly stand out. An interesting composition, but on my skin, it unfolded quite flat, didn't impress me, unfortunately

Saffron is felt from the first notes, and citrus is right there. Mimosa with leather - that's not for me. Their sweetish base only enhances the cloyingness. There's almost no lilac, and the longevity leaves much to be desired 😔

Through the rich scent of Indian incense, a delicate sprig of lilac breaks through, bringing freshness!! This amazing combination creates a unique atmosphere

The scent really stands out with its unusual composition. The pyramid is impressive, and it sparks interest. You can feel there's something special about it, something that makes you think
