Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Calyx unfolds as a cohesive olfactory arc, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Clinique is evident from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum sets the right density and pace of development.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Citrus, Green, Fruit and Floral. The palette also extends to Whiteflower, Earthy / Mossy and Wood.

From the first breath you catch sweet-fresh fruity top notes: Grapefruit, Green Chord, Guava and Mandarin.

In the middle phase you sense Calendula, Freesia, Jasmine, Lily, Lily of the Valley and Neroli carrying a harmonious floral direction.

The internal accord map is built around these accords: Citrus, Floral, Fruit and Wood with each one in a clear role. Secondary accord layers such as Powdery expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In longevity terms Very low points to a sustained drydown presence.

In this fragrance, I didn't detect any vetiver, oakmoss, or green notes. I bought it because on the test strip it seemed fresh and light, but after several attempts to understand it, it just sits on the shelf. There's something suffocating about it for me. Lily? Possibly, yes. I don't put these flowers in my rooms because they become too heavy after just a minute. It's a shame I couldn't connect with this perfume

I usually treat fragrance miniatures with great love, even if they're not quite my style. But this case was an exception. I exchanged it almost immediately, because I don't understand what happened to my perception (or to the perfume itself), but it smells like Chinese plastic! I didn't catch any other notes. Sometimes a fragrance just doesn't work out, well, that happens, but the impressions were vivid 😅
