Description of the composition

The scent of Addict 2 Summer Peonies unfolds as an expressive line of development, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The signature of Dior is evident in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette sets a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

The accord architecture is built around these accords: Citrus, Floral and Musc with each one in a clear role. The gender direction is feminine, which clarifies the composition character. In wear duration Middle suggests confident staying power.

As soon as the fragrance opens you catch invigorating sunny top notes: Bergamot and Orange.

In the central layer you notice Peony and Violet carrying a harmonious floral direction. In the final layer the line is anchored through musk, extending a silky musky trail.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Citrus, Floral, Musk and Whiteflower. Within olfactory families the fragrance belongs to Floral.

In summary Addict 2 Summer Peonies holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. This is the type of composition best judged through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

I can't agree that peonies are no longer trendy! How is that even possible? No note can just disappear from fashion like that. Tastes can change, of course, but that doesn't mean peonies have lost their appeal. The scent is light and pleasant, without the heaviness sometimes found in Dior 🌸

I don't agree with this trend for fragrances, everyone chooses what to wear for themselves. Someone likes vintage, but we, hearing it on someone, won't even understand what era it's from. So the question of whether a fragrance is trendy or not doesn't apply to perfumery. And about the perfume, I'll say this: this whole pink Addict series isn't for me. Delicate, spring compositions that you can only distinguish if you're smelling something simultaneously 🤷‍♀️

A floral scent that was once at the peak of popularity now seems outdated. Peony, of course, is pleasant, but its time has passed. Overall, the impression of the perfume leaves much to be desired

The scent unfolds instantly, and a delicate peony is immediately noticeable. It lasts a long time, like flowers that were given and sit on the table: seemingly pleasant, but over time they start to get tiresome. You won't throw them away, but they no longer bring joy. That's the dilemma, what to do with it. Violet seems to have been added to the composition, but it doesn't really change the situation for me. Although, I think peony lovers and fans of simple scents will definitely appreciate it ))))
